A question guys, do you guys take afternoon naps? I rarely take them but nowadays, I find myself very tired in the afternoon(3pm) after studying and if I sleep, I wake up grumpy and dizzy. This results in me not being productive for the rest of the day. Can't cramp those facts in! Any tips?

Thanks for all the tips guys. I'm going to power nap later. Gonna finish my Add Math module first.

So, how are you guys going to use the 4 days after Add Math and before Physics?

Yea, lots to read for Biology. I'll most likely spend a huge portion of the time reading Biology experiments. Physic and Chem experiments are okay, but Biology experiments are... ugh... too many and too long. Plus, I don't feel safe not reading those that already came out cry.gif

Anyways, my math teacher said that it is very dangerous to do plans and elevations in Math as the marking is very strict. He says they have a perfectly draw plan on a tracing paper which they use to mark it and if your off, your screwed. Was wondering if anyone's teachers told them the same thing? And anyone doing plans? I seem to find Earth as a Sphere annoying.

Really ? So cruel ? What if a student doesn't have / can't afford a proper ruler ? Is your Maths teacher an examiner ?

I do all the questions by the way , just to be sure . I've only drawn plans twice , once in Trials , another in Gerak Gempur .
*
He is a marker, not sure for Add.Math or Modern Math though. hmm.gif

Just double checked , for Plans and  Elevations , your measurements can fall within the range of 0.2 cm for lengths , and 1 deg for angles .

cuzuamazing No , it can still be used . Physics doesn't test our grammar .
*
2mm for length is good, but 1 degree is rclxub.gif

QUOTE(5p3ak @ Oct 24 2013, 05:40 PM)
Not sure if I should continue doing exercises or focus on refreshing my brain for BM and SEJ. hmm.gif

What say you guys?
*
We have 6 days for Sejarah. Maybe start BM a few days before? Just my 2 cents.

MaximR or any other students, How do you normally study moral? as there are no past year papers to do...?

SBP and other trial state papers?
*
For me, besides nilai and KK, I will do a few exercises(state and some workbooks) to get familiar with the KBKK questions. I will also study a list of aktas and stuff which was distributed by my teacher.

What do you guys write as the neutral color of Phenolphthalein? I noticed some books says it's colorless while some says it's pale pink.

As I left my classroom , for the last time , I felt a little empty inside .
*
I'm sure we all felt the same. I was perfectly fine during the graduation ceremony, but when I got back, I felt lost for the remaining afternoon. To think that 11 years in that school had ended... cry.gif Well, memories are forever blush.gif

QUOTE(maximR @ Oct 31 2013, 02:07 PM)
Here are some , spotted by my BM teacher :

1 . Faedah menabung
2 . Langkah / Kepentingan Pelancongan
3 . Ciri / Faktor Kecemerlangan Anak-anak / Pelajar
4 . Usaha pupuk minat membaca
5 . Peranan ibu bapa memupuk patriotisme
6 . Langkah balas jasa guru

Seems pretty good to me , I think I might just prepare points , pendahuluans and penutups based on these topics . If none of them comes out , I can add in some of the points I've prepared , and 'goreng' them to perfection .  tongue.gif
*
My teacher spotted:

Peranan Ibu Bapa dalam mewujudkan kelaurga bahagia
Patriotisme
Intergrasi Kaum
Internet

Seems like everyone spotted Patriostisme sweat.gif Maxis, mind sharing your pendahuluan? I'm collecting contoh pendahuluans to goreng and mix-match and well, I'm sitting in a pile of papers full with peribahasas ungkapans and perkataan berdarjat tinggi. doh.gif

Who will be using G2 gel pen?

Too risky, G2 kena water gone liao. Why not try a ballpoint pen?

Anyways, how do you guys usually draw a line of best fit? Ignore all the points and draw through the middle or connect 1st and last point or?

my teachers say to determine if a gel pen is good to go for SPM you need to do a simple experiment.  icon_idea.gif

Write a sentence using it on a piece of testpad and pour water on it if it didn't disolve/mixed/flushed away you are good to go.  brows.gif  brows.gif

Well, I meant like when we have 5 points, and we draw the line such that 2 is above and 3 is below or something like this.

QUOTE(RED-HAIR-SHANKS @ Nov 1 2013, 05:49 PM)
It depends on the points themselves. Supposed that there're six points for the graph, then it's best to ensure that three of them are on the upper side, the other three on the lower side of the line. But on certain attempts, I pick to connect the 1st and the last. Bottom line is, the line should be 'best fit', only then we're good to go on to the next question.
*
So, if we can't get equal points on both side, we just link the first and the last? I find that for MT question 7, my answers based on the graph are abit off due to my line not being "best fit"

Na, even after a few years, you spill water, gone. I guess it's an imitation.

QUOTE(Azer96 @ Nov 2 2013, 01:33 AM)
I heard Andrew Choo tips are completely useless as the tips are solely based on past years question papers. Past years questions are unlikely to be repeat for the next years. At least not in 2 or 3 years. Fortunately, I have been aware that some of the topics below should be highlighted. (By my teachers; from both school and tuition) * - Hot topics(Topic that students hate, SPM loves to ask)

BIOLOGY(P2):
-Menstrual cycle*
-Passive/active immunity*
-Balanced diet
-- factors that affect obesity/thrombosis*
-- affect on the absence micro, macro nutrients in plants*
-Cancerous cell (Mitosis)
--Tissue culture
--Cloning
-Secondary growth*
-Inheritance*
-Photosynthesis
--Food tests
-Lymphatic system*
-Air pollution

PHYSICS(P2):
-Critical angel and total internal reflection (master the image formed by a concave/convex mirror)
-Specific heat capacity
-Micrometer screw gauge
-(Master the wave, radiation topics)
Yeah, and plus..
May I ask what is exactly the purpose of centriol in a cell division.
-My friends' book mentioned it is to form spindle fibres.

Shouldn't the spindle fibre formed from a nucleus?
*
Na, during prophase, the centrioles move towards opposite poles of the cell. They are like spiderman where they shoot out spindle fibre which connect to the centromeres during metaphase. At Anaphase, they contract and pull the sister chromatids to opposite poles. At telophase, they disappear.
