Budget: Note 2

Specs: Note 3

Seriously, if you can use the spare cash, the N2 is good enough, at least to hold you off until the Note 4. That's what I did a few weeks back. 600 is actually a LOT when you sit back and think about it.

Properly configured, the N2 has oodles of RAM, has good battery life and is more than fast enough. Plus it's easier to hack and fool around with at the moment, with no Knox to worry about (at the moment anyway) and with a much more "matured" dev environment (the N3 will catch up after a few months of course). Lags? I had a sheetload more lag on my S3 for sure and while the N3 is silky smooth, my N2 is no sloth either.

Properly configured, anyway. Sammy loads their phones with so much bloat to begin with.

Plus all of the current stock probably has the newer eMMC firmwares baked in so you won't have to worry about SDS either.

Like I said before, if you can live with last year's best, the N2 is certainly "good enough". If you have an extra 600 lying around though, DO get the N3 by all means - in a straight up contest of course it's better.

Don't forget after buying phone, there are hidden cost as well. Such as casing, battery, micro sd card.

Good case, probably RM 50
Original battery with charger dock a couple of hundred
64 GB micro sd 170+
Slim port or adapter, more than RM 50
NFC tags
Power bank
Screen protector
Car charger

because samsung screwed up their S3 with the spec (too little RAM to run that stupid bloated touchwiz skin of theirs) and made it even more lag than the note 2, not to mention the instability of the system (i got so much complaints from customers about system and data corruption after only 7-8 months).  and because ppl here are screen whore, they will just go with anything that is big.

dude just enjoy your phone. laugh.gif
no need to go spreading hate on samsung touch wiz.

when you complain touch wiz in front of non techqie common users, you'll look like a fool, because to most people samsung is branded phone, direct competitor to apple, especially the galaxy s and note series.

when you complain touch wiz in this forum full of people who are well verse in flashing, you look like a bigger fool.
because samsung phones are easy to root, making bloatware removable, and aosp custom roms are available too.
any samsung note or s series. flash any aosp custom rom, enable on screen nav bar. its basically a super charge nexus phone. complete with awesome camera and lots and lots of storage, and removable battery.

i dont have time to dig up source, but i once read cyanogenmod google+ post saying that more than half their user base consist of a combination of s2 and s3 (that was before s4 announced). hence they will still be supporting them even tough exynos is not developer friendly.

Holly Molly...this thread gonna be flame war thread again between Samsung haters and Samsung users. doh.gif

OP/TS only ask about Note2 or Note3. ...not for haters to barge in and start ranting.

Thread reported.
