Anyway, I wanted to share something.
I bought my mom and dad a new phone that requires micro-sim and enable LTE. So I went to Celcom Bluecube Sunway. I brought along boths my parents to change the sim card. What I didn't know was both my parents line is under my sister's name, both were supplementary lines.
After getting our number and called to the counter, they told me that they will need my sister's IC and approval letter from my sister to upgrade the sim card and would not let us proceed. Even though my sister is available, but of course she can't do it immediately. After much fuss, they gave us the new micro sim cards and told us that after receiving the IC and letter/email only will they activate the new simcard. We went off at around 7pm and the cards were activated the same night at 11.30pm.
I think supplementary lines are made to ease our kids/parents life, it's not like I'm trying to change the quota or plan or any significant upgrade. It's just a simple process of changing sim cards. I can't imagine if my parents is on a wheelchair or bed ridden. The process is so troublesome and looking at my parents numbers, they should be very well informed that both these customers has been with them since TM Touch.
The only reason I'm not poisoning them to change to Maxis is because at my parents house there is only Celcom coverage.
Yes the people who register the line must present on scene. Same goes to my gf which is her dad register for her.
