bro tak tahu guna kah? 36% awake out of 7.5 hours is not mere ~10 minutes leh, it's 162 minutes, u must go to the WLD settings, and enable advanced view, then you can see the real thing that is causing the drain. fort he battery guru app, 60 secs wakelock out of 162 minutes is nothing

When can i expect to receive the firmware upgrade ? Both the phone n Kies still says MJ1 as latest ...

I would advise not to rush headlong into updates.....MJ1 is the latest for Malaysia.

If you want to root your phone sometime in the future, stay on MJ1 until others have proven that later ROMs can be rooted safely.

If you don't want to root, then you can flash MJ3 from UK phones via download from Sammobile.

I observe recently some people post about Samsung phones as if there are completely no redeeming qualities.

I think such people need their head examined. Android is about choice, and as such, there is a huge selection of models at all price points, chipsets, screensizes and features from many manufacturers.

Many here have chosen Note 3 due to its specs and features. Uncle benny yesterday posted some link to a fruit fanboi's review of Note 3 which was fair enough and proves the Note 3 is a good draw even for someone like that. So I would say it's the product and not Samsung that makes the Note 3 stand out.

For those who whine about Samsung's choice of stock launcher, I have no idea why a power android user would whine given that they of all people know how to slap in different launchers and theme their devices. Furthermore, I do not think any of us here bash other android models, but other people bash Samsung.

I'm not saying that Samsung phones are the best, and there have been complete shit stuff from them, and we have not said here that Note 3 is the best either. It does have its flaws and this is clearly pointed out with a post dedicated to Issues and Defects for all to plainly see.

As Baronic said, we should not let fanboyism spoil a great platform, but enjoy our respective choices.

Parting words, that there are some manufacturers who do have some questionable practices such as extremely high priced accessories or spare parts, or even poor after sales service, or downright abandonment of their recent flagships. Nobody's perfect. Even Samsung. Or the unholy fruit.

+1. i agree with your point, not LYN also la , even i just read from Cari Forum or other's forums, they have lots of fanboysim [likes fruits] also come inside to flaming the brands like Samsung's Plastics gimmicks , HTC's poor UltraPixels, LG's copypasta(cope-n-paste the UI from Sammy la and etc.. [The worst part, keep condemn Android OS so sucky...]
Moreover, all of the smartphone is depending on your choice, not you bought the brand for "SHOWDOWN" and just ease for your daily usage and makes more "smarter"

@joytest: It's never the hardware's fault. Nor is it the software. Usually when something goes wrong, it's the "liveware" using it that's to blame.

That said, Samsung HAS made some iffy design choices lately (insane eMMCs, the broken BIGlittle implementation in ExyOcta, the excess feature bloat). But, when you look at the big picture, all the other manufacturers have their own vices too.

Unfortunately this means nothing to your average blind brandboy. Oh well, not that anything we say will ever get through to them anyway.
