but anyway guys, i found something on my wiring..
My pickup is LP style pickup and not the original IBZ V6F as i though, it's maybe changed before i receive this guitar but none tell me before until today i found it..

LP style pickup are design in single conductor which mean only 2 wire one is ground one is output.

Ibanez adopt an Fender style pickup which mean it should have 3 wire up to newest 4 conductors pickup..

GOOD news is my pickup having possibilities to modded to 4 conductors pickup.

BAD news is i'm not brave enough to do that.

THE option is:
A. mod it whatever the risk is.
B. bring to some electro guy and ask him for help under my supervision.
C. Buy New compatible pickup and install it.
D. Don't do anything, die that pickup la.

which one u choose, master??

im back. so i choose the option A..

i do mod whatever the risk.. success!! (at least not rosak) but the gain still 20% lower than Single Coil pickup..

so i just did the adjustment to leveling the gain.


in other hand, i still not satisfy with the humbucker, will find the replacement soon.

is it me or does the neck joint look like there's something in between the neck and the body??? that's really really worrying.

1. just do a revamp of the electronics, don't bother with swapping out parts one by one, do it all. Can't go wrong.

2. I doubt the issue is the pups... like seriously .

Sorry, the pict is old one hehe neck joint last time had problem cause it's bending, rather than reset the neck, the lousy luthier just put some push-up.. last time i re-fret, the neck also got pressed and reset, so now it's not like that again lol..

Get a multimeter and test its resistance.

If it's less than 8 kohms, the pickup is gone, replace it.

That was what happened to Kid's (of Search) bridge pickup in his Kramer Nightswan
two decades ago, which sounded very tinny and weak compared to his neck.

I merely switched the pickups, since he hardly used the neck as a rock guitarist.




A typical medium to high output humbucker will read 11 to 16 kohms, with 13 k average..


The DiMarzio X2N, probably their loudest, is 16 k.

Their Super Distortion reads 13 k.


Matsumoko's (Aria Pro II) MMK 45, stock on their ''Knight Warrior'' models
and Westone guitars of the mid-80s and still a highly sought pickup today,
is about 11 k.
