i've been in games with 4-5 assassins and still won.
but yea usually hairpulling games and most of the time losing and the win is usually through clutch turn around (eg: wipe their team, push with their long rez in late game)

Player pool still small. Team compo always awkward.

start making friends with those whom you think their play style suits you.
and keep doing that.

what heroes should a beginner gets?

valla would be a good newbie hero.
raynor, i find him to be boring when i first started HOTS.

so i vote valla to be beginner's hero

i'd disagree although it has the easy tag. (right? cant remember)
but yes most heroes, their difficulty ratings are quite accurate la.

then again, if your valla follow through my talent picks, ok la just afk a moves... quite easy also.

raynor on the other hand much easier, a move, press w, press hyperion... lol.

other easy picks, lili as support, muradin as warrior/tank roles.


specs, i dont think there's an easy specialist around? maybe nazeebo/sylvannas? (sylvannas is a bit fragile in the early games though)

to me valla is pretty easy to pick up since it is mostly damage and one skill useful to escape.
and valla is cheap to buy.

raynor is cheap to buy as well and easy to play. but like i mentioned earlier, raynor damn boring to play haha!

i didn't suggest sylvanas and nazeebo since this 2 are expensive to buy, unless it's on the free rota.

but yea, the easy heroes are cheap so shes prolly in the easy difficulty as well.

afaik most specialists are expensive/medium or hard diff right? guess up to the player if they wanna save up for one.

i usually just play the character i like over what is effective/easy.
case in point, arthas is pretty shit after the nerfs since alpha/beta lol.

but fucking hell dominating with him running around swinging frostmourne is sex

yup, although some heroes are categorized as easy but not suitable for my playstyle, then i'll have a hard time winning or playing effectively with those heroes

Z1gy anyway, try those free to play heroes first, see which one you like the play style and go for that hero.

enemy picked my arthas, i picked raynor. we ran a 4 dps 1 healer team and still fucking raped them. so LOL!

oh believe me it was an uphill struggle at first.
3/5 of the team were negative as fuck and was on the verge of quiting but myself/another dude kept persuading otherwise to try, stay and fight.

i'm not fond of support, but lili is too ez that everyone should know how to play and able to play as a backup (well if enemy picked that POS then too bad la)
my main is still arthas and is the only reason i play, secondary is a whole plethora of assassins since i've always been a dps'er in most games i played (like WoW), primarily playing Nova, then either the afk shot heroes like raynor/valla or more technical ones like Jaina, or lol illidan (still learning him... it pushes me so hard on my edge that i ended up just suiciding him so much w)

Usually in this situation, the team surely lost. Some player like to whine a lot when get killed. Then whole team become negative teamwork.

In HL, best is you try have 2 heroes for each classes. If opponent chosen the hero that you want, at least you got backup hero. And one more thing, try not to choose the hero first before your turn. Opponent usually will pick that

Raynor is a good choice. Before the patch (during alpha/beta) raynor is quite weak hero

Falstad is quite high dmg also. You can try it.
Illidan, i found it quite hard to control him. like his ulti, "the hunt" is quite good. U can target enemy from anywhere in the map.
Butcher quite OP also on solo kill. But can be weak also if no teamwork.

yeap, they keep dragging down the team morale and teamwork crumbles, and in this damn game, teamwork is an utmost importance.

btw i thought opponent cannot see what hero you pick unless you locked it down?
no worries on my heroes since i do have a decent line up/backup i can play with

during alpha/beta raynor is ok in its own way, penetration rounds lol
now that its nerfed quite a lot (generally on his bursts), i just afk shot my raynor and support team with inspire/hyperion lol.

Illidan is not bad to control, the only problem being is waaaayyy too offensive oriented and unless the team keep pace with him, it's not going to work.
he only shines when he gets to go balls deep and continuous attack with his skills all cooling down like nobody's business. get this- his ultimate is subjected to his cooldown trait as well so imagine spamming hunts/demon form.
overall demon form is still the better heroic since it affects aoe, and if you last till lvl20 (which majority of games do) then it shines even greater with that increased atk speed.

still, i am struggling with illidan myself and i personally do not see him being viable in hero league unless 1) enemy is weak 2) your team syncs with your offensive nature

Butcher, dunno, not my preference on him however yes he is pretty op at the moment especially with some support with team. heck, even solo wise he can also deal considerably well.
