my ps3 just got the rlod, from what i search from the web, taking out the hard disk and blow with hot air might temporary fix it. If i do take out the hard disk, when i put back in and power on it, will it ask me to reformat my hard disk?

I am thinking should I sell off my fat PS2 console ...
this console come with network adapter and internal HDD to load backups instead of CDs (take care of lens ma)

reason for selling is pity the console that keep eating dust

It depends on your personal preference right? I'm interested in games in an almost academic sense, so I keep all my consoles. I have a Micro Genius, an Amiga 1200, the original Playstation, and a Sega Dreamcast that I keep in storage and a Sega Mega Drive 2 that's still hooked up to a TV that I very rarely play. I don't have a PS2 as I couldn't afford it at the time, but even if I wasn't interested in games the way I am, I'd probably still keep one for nostalgia's sake. Even replay some of the games as there were great great games for the PS2.

But if the only reason you're keeping one is for the games, then maybe take into consideration the fact that PS Store has a decent number of PS2 favourites you can play on the PS3 and that the Playstation Now service may eventually allow you to tap into the old PS2 library. I guess unless you really like hardware, might as well sell it off.

There are some complaints about firmware 4.55 is causing a bug where there will be no volume in certain games. I have no idea how true this is, but the official US PS forums has quite a few threads on it.

Meanwhile in Malaysia, the game is freely available in retail outlets & PS store.

Apparently there's a glitch currently on the PS3 PSN store... somehow or the rather, PS Now is available and PSN supports rental of games.
Some people on Gaf just redeemed Catherine for free, as a 30 days rental.
