QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 13 2013, 09:00 PM) The link is down as I wanted to test out too mainly to assess whether the System can be change to official. He has mentioned using Xposed installer together with Wanam Xposed and selecting Faking security will do it. I tried it but it doesn't work at all on my present setup : still show custom in download mode I know since my Knox Warranty is already flagged out, even rooting through his method will not change it AFAIK wanam xposed only change it in the settings. Download mode will still be custom.

QUOTE(Amal @ Oct 14 2013, 04:11 AM) Damn.. Now got into bootloop after installing wanam and enabling the fake status.. Help! Update : -Re do Odin without the root features. It went back to official without root, thus automatically disable the Xposed app(require root). -Remove Xposed + Wanam -Re root again. Phew.. So, those who have tried removing the custom status by using Xposed + Wanam fake status have no bootloop issues is it? Weird, why mine does. Xposed framework can be tricky at times ending up with bootloop and needing a fresh flash from odin. Just try it again.

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Oct 14 2013, 09:17 AM) Everyone is rooting it! Shall I? Damn itchy now... Edit: Downloading now, later just think wanna root or not, it is 1.16GB, needs 23 mins to complete. Means this is pre-root ROM actually... Edit2: Is the 1.16GB ROM a must to flash? Did anyone try just direct skip this and go ahead with root? Is it working? Yes it is a must. The big rom had been hex-edited to allowed a script to run root into your phone. Otherwise it won't work.

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Oct 14 2013, 09:46 AM) Thanks for confirmation. Appreciate much. Basically this ROM still is Odexed ROM right? I think not so important as most can customize now with Xposed Framework right. I already done download, now.. thinking... CWM will trigger the KNOX right, I don't want that. Yes it is still the original odex rom.

Thanks for all the welcome guys. I am not so optimistic about knox. But like Note 2, the stock rom is already very complete. With root possible it is more than enough. Let's see how this progress in the months to come.

Andrewtst N9005XXUBMJ3 and N9005XXUBMJ1 have same changelist. I dun think there is any changes. Could be regional thingy.
Edit: Newer number in samsung rom does NOT mean newer rom.

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Oct 16 2013, 09:49 PM) Oh, I didn't do any comparison on it. By the way, since UK user also face it, probably when this firmware arrived for Malaysia, same thing will happen. Just be cautions current Root de la Vega may only applicable up to XXUBMJ1 firmware. Yup thanks for your sacrifice.

QUOTE(joytest @ Oct 17 2013, 05:08 PM) I have seen the s4 being quite popular and a lot of people using it. The slowness of the thread may be due to other reasons. I very seldom see any S4. But i know what you mean. This post has been edited by antt00: Oct 17 2013, 05:09 PM

[attachmentid=3679446] any sifu can help me check why my battery so fast drain. What apps need to disable?? Looks like NLP wakelock issue. Most probably related to gmaps or some google location thingy. Try disabling location reporting and location history in gmaps. This post has been edited by antt00: Oct 17 2013, 05:23 PM
