I think should be the same site where we can download the factory image, but we will find out when it becomes available later tonight.

Only Nexus can install it? Where to install?
*
Only Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013) WiFi version have it currently, but you can always look for a port for your device if there is developer willing to do the work.

Hi guys,

if my unit is with sim card, mean i cannot port in the preview L yet right?
*
Official factory image is not available for LTE model but Google just released L preview source code in AOSP so custom rom based on it might get released in the future.

QUOTE(domo_kun @ Jul 2 2014, 08:11 AM)
just did an upgrade to 4.4.3 without any issues, but then, what is/are the changes of this new one over the previous version 4.4.2 Kit Kat? then, on the front page here, there is 4.4.4 available already? YIKES...
*
LTE model gets stuck at 4.4.3 currently but 4.4.4 is just minor security update tho.

I own a nexus 7 and a Sony z1 compact.

Nexus 7 running 4.4.3

But z1 compact on 4.4.4

Sony is new update king?  rclxub.gif
*
Blame Verizon, WiFi version already got updated to 4.4.4 but LTE version still stuck at 4.4.3. But 4.4.4 is just a minor security patch and no new feature so it is ok for me tho.

That is fine. Is main service center in KL, Low yat plaza the only place we can drop-in our nexus for repair? what other option there is? I browse asus Malaysia website and found they have many authorized service center and i visit 2 of them and both decline taking in my nexus7 as they out of asus contract or in the midst of renewing contract and one of the used-to-be authorized service center also suggested to go to the main service center in lowyat. this is very troublesome, don't you think so?
*
Yea claiming warranty from Asus is quite sucky btw.

i'm not too sure if it happens to you guys before, but i noticed that on certain games like Crazy Taxi, after i exit the game, the tab interface will turn slower and lag a lot. reboot it, and all is well again. any way to over come this?  unsure.gif
*
Have you tried to swipe it away in app switcher? Sometimes the app will just cache at background even you exited the app and consumes your tablet resources.

QUOTE(chaostan @ Sep 14 2014, 03:12 PM)
Where can i get this tablet now.
*
It is hard to find new unit now as Asus is not bringing in new unit anymore, if you can wait, then wait for the upcoming Nexus tablet or consider other brands.

Hi. Need help!!

My nexus 7 2013 just died on me. My son was playing a game and the batt was around 10%+/-. Then, it suddenly died. I first thought it ran out of juice, so I hooked it up overnight. After work, try to use it, the screen wont turn on!
Changed the cables and plugs, still the same. Tried diff buttons combos, same result. Then, I opened the back, unplugged the battery connector. Left it a while, and replugged it again. Still my screen is blank!!

Any ideas?

Where to send for repair in KL (ASUS or third party)..😭😭😭
*
Have you tried to fastboot it? Press volume down + power button at the same time for at least 15 seconds.

If still cannot, then you can send to Asus Service Center @ Lowyat Plaza.

Hi guys,

I've updated mine via OTA to 5.0.1 without any issues.

But.......I cant install TWRP or CWM recovery. After installing it and reboot the device, my N7 revert back to custom recovery. Thus I'm unable to root it again.

Appreciate some help.

Thanks in advance
*
This is a known bug on lollipop, you can try to flash again and see if it sticks, if not, then you will need to flash a perm-recovery.zip from wugfresh's toolkit to make it stick forever, or alternatively, you can choose to use CF-auto root since it doesn't require custom recovery, you can root it using computer.

Kindly advise any reliable shop to repair my nexus7. Suspect battery issue. Tried many steps available online but just wont boot up.
Thanks.

Perhaps you can bring it back to Asus Service Centre for the official check but do expect some charges if warranty is over.

meaning that wifi version either 16/32gb got the lollipop update, but the LTE version got no update yet? thinking of getting the LTE version from ipmart, 50% sales  drool.gif  drool.gif  drool.gif
*
Yes, official update is for WiFi model only, LTE model still waiting sweat.gif

If you are planning to use custom rom then model is not the main concern since both models already got 5.0.2 rom

Nope, no news, Google is always slow to update devices that have data service.
