Been reading and it says it has to be rooted first..

My worry is might be difficult to update or unroott once rooted.

something i noticed recently, which i'm not sure if it's my network issue. my nexus tend to disconnect itself from my wifi and then reconnect again. it will do this intermittently, as and when it wishes... my iphone connected to the same network, no issue. i ping to google from my pc, it doesn't show my pc disconnected from the network, either. anyone experiencing such issue?

tried out paranoidandroid, aosb, candyKat and MIUI5 today

miui looks really nice~ feels like using ipad, but features is rather lacking/missing (also like ipad )

need a rom for day2day use, in the end using candykat~ 

anyone tested on it? Does the interface in chinese?

Hi ,anyone noticed the speaker  makes a high pitched buzzing sound while charging , it's happen to me when i play clash of clan with games sound mute and connected to wall charger, can i send to RMA ?

It's because the Nexus 7 uses a crappy digital volume control that simply reduces the volume of the digital waveform before it hits the DAC, instead of having a real analog volume control -an op-amp that adjusts the volume of the signal before it hits the headphone/speaker amplifier.

What you're hearing is quantization noise as at the lowest volume the audio uses only 2-4 bits of dynamic range instead of the full 16 (or 24, dunno what DAC is in this thing). It's the same as the bit-crushing effect you hear in some dubstep and other electronic music that degrades the audio into a robotic crunchy mess, only here it's not on purpose, it's just cheap design.

There is nothing you can do about it.

i bought a 2nd hand unit and it stated nexus 7c in the sticker box but i check the spec, its the nexus 7 2013 version. Mine is wifi and LTE, any way to double confirm?

guys, have anyone tried rooting with towelroot? sorry, pretty new to the rooting business..I basically just want to play with some xposed modules, and I have several questions...i think this root method doesn't unlock bootloader, but I can still use xposed right? Next question is..since i'm still on stock rom, OTA isn't affected right?
