ppl must know why they use single cylinder. motard/supermoto cant use 4 cylinders..the engine block gonna too wide..kacau la handling and agility. that's why dirt bike use single cylinder(or v2) up to 600+cc (kawasaki KLR 650).
each type of bike serve its purpose. u want 4 cylinder..buy, sports/superbike. even that also got 2 cylinders. |

This serves as a street bike and it comes handy in city drive due to better torque. For long journey, I guess it will be suffering. I did consider it though. Haha

For the Duke390, its better for highway since topspeed already >160km/h, engine rev also no need so high, heavy = more stable. Got balancer also, no need vibrate so much. |

But yeah, Duke200 more towards city riding. Cruising 100km/h no problem. But for highway so people might want to take it up to 140km/h and above. |

Coz offroad bikes are meant for pot holes. Actually maintenance between z250 and duke200 is big different. z250 need more engine oil since two cylinder. While duke200 is only one cylinder, easier and simpler engine, need less engine oil also. But for spare parts etc, kawasaki is famous in Malaysia, parts will be cheaper and easier to find. For ktm, its europe. Parts more expensive than japanese bikes. |

Limiter is unnecessary to remove. Kesian the engine rev >10k to archieve >125km/h. Short gearing pulak. |

That day I went to shop and check, akra about 3k/4k, while another brand mc-sport is only 1.7k+-. Btw, Im still planning to mod my stock exhaust, coz I love the stock so much, underbelly somemore, at least drop wont kemek the side exhaust. duke 125 not powerful enough after we been sitting on the 200. Price also more expensive in here since CBU. So far got no money for cosmetic already. I think exhaust is the only thing we can play. |

just test drove Duke 390 yesterday, got KTM motorshow here in Kedah
the torque? 44bhp no kidding its insane, NVH superb different a lot from Duke 200 although i believe the chassis feels like similar a lot to 200, i think maybe same body just diff engine at least thats what SA told me. Equipped with akra moto gp exhaust, superb i must say, can do 160km/h if im not mistaken before ecu cut off But i still love mah Duke 200 |

QUOTE(pallmall @ Nov 7 2013, 10:33 AM) doesnt looks like it, i saw in shop still selling about RM20k for abs version duke 200 In my opinion, kawa z250 is nice. But a bit too expensive. With only 4k to 5k, I can get so much power and a very sexy design. Plus, it has abs. Kawa ninja 300 gas abs and not the current ninja and z250 right?to be honest i agree after test ride 390, darn it but still love mah 200 although kawa z250 also a naked bike, almost same price with 2 cylinder engine i only interested in duke personal preferences, i think z250 kinda looks a bit unstable (design wise), tail kinda too small, but thats just me |

390 but sayang single cylinder bike...i guess thats why the chassis and body look kinda same size with 200....a little bit light weight look to me...but no offense of course the engine bigger prolly its bigger vertically than horizontally...
between tihis or 250z kawa i pick kawa as i no need upgrade the license and kawa oso tahan ver long highway journey 2 cylinder bikes... |
