QUOTE(sai86 @ Oct 24 2013, 05:35 PM) bro. any old monitor is unable to support gsync, hence, only new approve nvidia monitor only has gsync (need to add in chip). and asus gsync monitor already reach our shore? atm, not much announcement on this. i thought some older 120hz/144hz can support gsync but you need to buy the gsync kit. QUOTE(law1777 @ Oct 24 2013, 05:42 PM) dont think he owned a gsync monitor eh??? with gsync do u even need 120hz gsync need 120hz/144hz monitor. 60hz monitor is useless for gysnc.

Nvidia plans to make the technology available two different ways. First, those of you with existing monitors — otherwise known as “everyone” — will be able to upgrade an Asus VG248QE display with a standalone kit. No word on whether everyone who doesn’t own a VG248QE display will be able to upgrade or not, or whether the upgrade will be available on Asus monitors in that family at the 27-inch size. http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/169091-n...onize-pc-gamingThis post has been edited by law1777: Oct 24 2013, 06:45 PM

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Oct 24 2013, 05:28 PM) What monitor model is that? If it can support Gsync, you better go for GTX780. Else go for 290x and watercool 'em. it's old monitor not Gsync. I just want to know whether its worth to get 290x . Since i want higher frame rate on 1080p.

Pure speculation: R9-290X launch price: ASUS and Sapphire: RM1899, if not RM2199 MSI & other premium brands: RM2199, if not RM2399
If lower end brands do come in Malaysia, would be good news, has to RM1699 to be attractive.
Limited stock, Malaysia probably getting 250 piece first batch. 400 if lucky.
Distributor will reserve some for retail only store package, like sets of 10/20/50 in different combinations of R-series cards with PSU, then retail bundle with PSU at very competitive price like add RM299 for a RM599 PSU.
Game bundle is yet to be determined.
