but the pricing is awesome for its level of performance, even the GTX780 cant cope with that. Nvidia will have to perform some price cuts in enar future?

impressive card indeed, smoking Titan and 780 in 1440p and above but loses to 780 in 1080p? fishy indeed

QUOTE(law1777 @ Oct 24 2013, 05:52 PM) near very very near maybe tml or next monday? i think Mantle more useful than G-Syncgonna wait for 780 to drop to usd550 too (if it happen later) then see custom cooled 290x can beat the crap out of 780 or not. by then will decide which one to go.. mantle vs gsync as for price drop, Nvidia so fast and nice to drop so much? luckily my GTX660 still running fine on 1080p which means unless i go bigger reso, high end cards not applicable to me |

QUOTE(sai86 @ Oct 25 2013, 09:54 PM) lol. its a bomb to wc bro. i mean its another bomb to wc. so AC is quite good ady can afford high end card, kenot afford to WC? and wc must be custom. if CLC, its kinda wasted. WC is more high end than a Titan Cost if really indulge into this hobby but honestly, i think if we limit the temp of R9 290X using softwares, shouldnt be any problem unless it limits the power draw as well which then results in drop in perf |

dayum son, that performance vs heat/noise tradeoff
i think in future all cards gonna be WC versions instead of air cooled |

QUOTE(yandebunena @ Dec 5 2013, 06:30 PM) dependsits a good and powerful card, but bottlenecked by the stock cooler and so far, there are no custom cooling solutions in the market atm i suggest waiting for custom coolers before making the plunge |

QUOTE(yandebunena @ Dec 5 2013, 07:06 PM) no, those are custom coolingstocks are reference coolers like the current R9 290, eg; ![]() customs are like this (R9 280X) ![]() custom cooling are generally preferred as theyre cooler and quieter. however they do not expel hot air outside the casing but into the casing itself |

QUOTE(llk @ Dec 5 2013, 07:35 PM) Actually it is depends on individual, if u able to accept the fan sound then i will said no thermal issue, i play Call of Duty Ghost/Battlefield 4 for few hours the temperature is around 70-75 degree but of cause to maintain this temperature the fan speed must be keep at 70%, & at this speed the fan is very loud. true, but most individual prefer quieter, no? from experience, >60% for reference cooling is considered uncomfortable already also, how did ya get 70-75C during COD Ghosts? im always at a constant 79-80C at 60% fan speed |

QUOTE(llk @ Dec 5 2013, 07:47 PM) Fortunately the fan didn't produced those high pitch sound otherwise it will be very irritating. wah if i ever set 70% fan speed ill have to turn up speakers as wellThis is how i set the fan curve, maybe u should try to set the fan speed at 70% see whether your 780 temperature drop to 70 my current fan curve, looks odd doesnt it? ![]() |

QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Dec 28 2013, 04:58 AM) hmm i am very sure if Mantle successful(this is "just or story") implemented into GCN, and Nvidia stock market fall.. Nvidia Share holder not happy... very sure Nvidia would sued AMD ... (or make something up to sued AMD of un fare reason or infringement ) in a business point of view, its completely acceptable as the youre obviously striving to be better than your competitor and get more as wellEdit: i mean if this was another way around.. but in a consumer view, thats just Nvidia being a jacka$$, trying to monopolise the market again we need competiton man, later AMD vs Intel happen this move is purely there to annoy AMD users as for Mantle, i heard alot about it but its still not ready?
