Jayacom posted the price for Sapphire r9-290X w/ Bf4. seems like Asus is a better buy due to the inclusive of the ROG headset.

Suicide run for me on heaven.
1250/1500 @ vddc1.281/ board li +20. temp <70C = minimum artifact shown but able to complete the test. (latest beta driver for bf4)
compare to sasaug, i say r-280x definitely worth to buy. lower power consumption, n better. my vddc is +0.1 compare to his r-280x.

If you lower the clock, will you get lower score? hmm.gif

will try with lower clock 2nite n post it up.
hmm, i got a bad MC. only can bump up 30mhz. 50mhz heaven went into blackscreen a while and major artifact after that sad.gif

QUOTE(Oyaji @ Oct 22 2013, 11:57 PM)
After I saw the pricing for the 290 I definitely going to get the ASUS R9 280x. I also saw the matrix version of the 280x but damn its large (and a bit pricey too).
I usually just use it as it is & I don't think I'm brave enough to o/c the card. laugh.gif
*
what's the pricing for 290? i find around unable to get it.

Do you know what G-Sync is?
*
can't blame him as well. all we know is the announcement and how it works n etc. but we unable to see the real performance as these reviewer, hence we are not WOW yet atm. also the cost of getting taste on Gsync is kinda high (for me at least).
1st, needed to chg to a green card (not quite a problem)
2nd, the monitor. The Asus announcement on this is the price very high for me for a 24" TN 1080p. with the almost same amount, i prefer dell u2713hm ips @ 1440p, but then if i wanted the same monitor but with gsync, how much will it cost me?

i'll play the waiting game. wait for it to mature, stabilize and see how it goes. atm, all theories is WOW, juz like mantle, bulldozer n etc.
peace icon_rolleyes.gif
Deep down, i wish nvidia will licence this to others, hence more choices instead of restriction. but guess not sad.gif
is our gaming has come down to a line where you want this feature, u get this card, u want that, u get that card....

This is the monitor by asus which will get gsync. $279.99 at Newegg currently. with Gsync + $120 = $399. At the same price without gsync, you can get 27" of the same model.
Asus VG248QE

overclocking means shortening the lifespan of the graphic cards right? do correct me if I'm wrong. So you guys prefer to trade the life span for more power?
*
shortening, but how shortening is it? i have been using oc clock for my cpu n gpu. yet still working strong. my cpu is oc to 3.5ghz from 2.8ghz which is a mild oc- easy to reach and working strong for almost 4 years now flex.gif
all will be fine if the temp and voltage is at safe line and do not go beyond the line..
so far, aint a cpu or gpu in my hand dead due to daily use on OC. its not like we do excessive/insane oc like 1400mhz core clock on my 7970ghz or @ 1.4/.5v.

the safest oc for newbie i think will juz oc the gpu/cpu with the stock voltage. once you hit the wall (artifact shown, crash, bsod n etc), thats d limit of it @ stock voltage.

that is superbly cheap thumbup.gif now custom will be 600-700?
holy cow, a single gpu that match 7990 specs rclxub.gif
the performance in 1440p is so damn nice against my 7970ghz drool.gif
avg 10+fps above my card at 1440p gaming.

noise lvl load @ 50dba. no wonder.
the price/performance its offer juz almost kill 780. the Ti & titan shall be put to sleep.
next, we will see price reduced by nvidia tongue.gif

the price is juz get us all surprised. now, they should back to focus on improving their driver smile.gif
the CF scaling in benchie is very good. n the 290 performance is great as well. this should be more exciting since the 290x price is such low ady.

hmm, wonder will Arctic Xtreme Cooler Plus III can fit it in hmm.gif

The way he was saying macam waiting for the 290x to drop till RM1.5k , that's why I was wondering lol.
*
can't be la. since we know/expect 290x at around rm2k (depends on our local reseller greed). so prolly 290 might at 1.5k to 1.8k? AMD this time pricing is so damn attractive compare to 7970 1st release.

So actually in normal res to 1440p or 1600p it cannot beat GTX 780 but the price is dam good but as GURU 3D and Aanadtech say it go to 95C and a lot of noise problem.
*
price performance, yes very good. its actually trade blow in performance and the different is not that overwhelming against each other. but the vanilla version HS is juz sucks to the max for me.
hence, waiting for custom cooler unit/ review icon_idea.gif

What monitor model is that? If it can support Gsync, you better go for GTX780. Else go for 290x and watercool 'em.
*
bro. any old monitor is unable to support gsync, hence, only new approve nvidia monitor only has gsync (need to add in chip). and asus gsync monitor already reach our shore? atm, not much announcement on this.
