i think it will start appear on statement only on 2016.. From the first page:

QUOTE
1. Effective 1 August 2013, Maybank Credit Card TreatsPoints will have a 3 years expiration period. TreatsPoints earned in a particular month are valid until the end of third (3rd) year of the calendar month. Maybankard 2 Cards FAQ:

1. The rebate is calculated according to the CALENDER month.
2. The rebate is usually credited to the AMEX card on the 1st or 2nd of the month.

Besides than redeem point, do they doing like other bank which waive gov tax with min swipes.
Or call to center, cancel card, they will waive it.
*
no news about this and most people here dont bother about it.. you can either spend RM1k using amex on saturday & sunday and get RM50 cash rebate or spend RM2.5k using amex on weekdays to collect 12500 TP and exchange it for RM50 GST.. and this can be done every month brows.gif

I have a question about statement date, for example

Statement date 3 February 2014.

May I know the transaction up to which date will charge into this statement date?
*
QUOTE(sj0217 @ Jan 8 2014, 05:32 PM)
Should be up to 2nd, most of the time Amex will flow on the same day itself if it is local trasaction. If swipe on 3rd, it may flow to next statement since your statement date is 3rd, please correct if I'm wrong.

I know UOB cc will be flow on the next statement as I have exp before.
*
transaction up to 3rd February will be charge into the 3rd February statement.. especially amex, since posting date usually same as transaction date..

call maybank CS and let them know you want to link your AMEX card to Paypal.. then try to link it again.. if still cannot, call CS again and ask why.. when you have any problem with card transaction, call CS is the best way to know what is the problem..

had that problem few weeks back. called cs and was told there was no attempt for any transaction. tried a week later and manage to go through. yesterday tried to buy gsc tickets with paypal but only have option for my master and none for d Amex although Amex is my primary card. again I called d cs but was told ntg can be done as there is 'no attempt' to pay with paypal
*
although you have link AMEX to paypal, some website still dont accept AMEX through paypal.. that's why it is not appear on some website.. when there is no option, that means no attempt.. so CS cannot see and say anything when there is no attempt to use the card.. however you can topup paypal first using AMEX, then pay directly using paypal..

What's the likelyhood of it being captured on this mth statement?

Guys just to confirm do we pay the outstanding balance or statement balance? I'm quite confused...I usually just hit the pay now button and put the max value balance in. Just checked my hardcopy statement and it's the lower amount..

Thanks!!
*
if you dont have time to monitor your expenses and card usage, just pay the outstanding balance everytime after you use your card.. if you are a wise card credit user, you should already know that you have to pay statement balance before the payment date which is 20 days after the statement date..

Unless you use or swipe any of the cards, then your outstanding and statement balance should be the same.
What do you mean? I obviously have to use the card for it to get charged?

You must clear the statement balance by statement due date.
I always pay it off by the 15th (Which is when i receive my hard copy statement)
*
Statement Balance will never same with Outstanding Balance, if you keep on using the card..

Statement Balance is the amount you need to pay to the bank within 20 days of the statement date, if you dont want to be charged any interest..

Outstanding Balance is the total amount you still owe the bank..

if you still dont understand the difference, i suggest you just paid any amount shown in outstanding balance everytime you login maybank2u until it shown RM0.. you can IGNORE at all the statement balance..

you earn the same Treatpoints using the Amex.. it is the Treatpoints that can be convert to Enrich miles.. so no problem using Amex Treatpoints because it is the same Treatpoints as using Visa or Mastercard.. and i have done this many time too..

anyone planning to book Agoda via AMEX, should get this promo code too!

7% discount for any room booked via Agoda for stays from now until 30 June 2014

Terms and Conditions :

not sure about T&C #2 on how Agoda verify you are U Mobile customers. Probably you need to enter the UCard or verify your NRIC.
*
i'm umobile user and already receive several code via sms.. T&C no 2 i think refer to the sms receive with the code.. but every code received will expired in a week.. and i think we cannot combine with amex promo because of the link.. to use amex promo, you need to use agoda.com/maybank link and to use this umobile promo you need to use agoda.com/umobilepromo link..

sample sms with the code:

Hi guys, my first statement will come tomorrow. I understand the concept of statement date and due date.

However, would like to confirm with you guys

a) That whatever I spend tomorrow will be carried forward to the next statement date,

or

Is it still counted into the statement?

b) Will my finalized statement date be generated tomorrow and I"ll be able to check every purchase I've made?

Thanks smile.gif
*
it is easier to check all your purchase if you have maybank2u.. dont have to wait for statement and can see up to 60 days back of transaction..
