just a question

on monthly basis, i get the weekend amex rebate of about RM25 (average). that means my amex usage is about RM500.
coming in few months, i will be renewing my car insurance, about RM2K (est gross, no NCD).
any suggestion how to maximize my cashback?
i was thinking 2 options:
Combo 1) get OCBC Ti and pay the 1-time insurance premium (1% unlimited CB, gives me ~RM20). No change to my usual Amex payment (est cashback about RM25, still have ~RM25 quota balance). Total cashback for that month: ~RM45 + 2500 TP (5X TP)
Combo 2) pay the 1-time insurance premium with amex (capped at RM50, 2X TP), the rest of my RM500 bills/usage pay with other cards (still finding). asssuming i get OCBC Ti, 1% CB from RM500 is about RM5. Total cashback for that month: ~RM55 + 4000 TP (2X TP)
Amex-only) pay all with Amex. RM2000 + RM500 = RM50 (capped) + 12500 TP (5x2500)
getting petrol-only 5% CB cards like UOB One or Citibank, doesnt make sense to me, since i have other payments like Unifi/Tesco, which i've been enjoying 5% CB with amex along with petrol.
hmmm, seems OCBC Ti is more logical as a backup card in order to maximize Amex's 5% CB (RM50 cap).
suggestions/recommendations? Combo 1 or Combo 2 or just Amex-only is better?
