Been using PSX for a while now until a dev's decided to stop public release on XDA. Sad that its dead now, but its been a good run. Guess i'll be sticking to the last build or PSX until carbon 4.4 comes out.

4.4.2 is 2 releases more recent than CM11 which is based on 4.4

Those who oreli updated to 4.2.2, what is the differences you have notice?

It is more towards to bugs fixed right?

beside bug fix, got new feature or enhancement bo? like better battery, better responsive ?

it's probably hard to see any difference. the source code for 4.4.2 has not been pushed too. so cannot do any diff to find out what was fixed.

but from the patch i can see 73 system app got patched from 4.4.1. mostly just small patch, so it could be just version update. but facelock.apk and googlecamera.apk got quite a big patch.

in bin, the following file got patched:

debuggerd.p
efsks.p
hostapd.p
mdnsd.p
qcks.p
sensors.qcom.p
wpa_suplicant.p

most patch are small... except sensors.qcom.

in framework, 78 apk got patched. mostly small patches, except telephony-common.odex and ext.jar.

in lib, 18 files has patch. biggest of all is libpatts_engine_jni_api.so.p, this file is about text-to-speech. i guess it can now understand more languages?

libwebviewchromium.so.p has huge patch too. this is your chrome.

libwvdrmengine.so.p got huge patch too.. DRM media stuff.

Me too ! I was checking my phone for notification and wahlaaa ... 4.4.2 ... I was reading about rumors on 4.4.1 update ... but didnt expect it to have 4.4.2 the next morning ...


I can't wait for PA in 4.4

According to their G+ page, should be release in coming weeks, delayed due to 4.4.1 but now suddenly 4.4.2 released, wonder will they delay again or not.

Help, anyone know how to step by step install kitkat 4.4.2 on
stock rom 4.4 with no modification, unlocked, rooted twrp recovery and Franco kernel nexus 4 without lost root and data? Thanks!
