QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Mar 27 2019, 09:39 AM) no la, my personal experienced with socar passat basic spec car. was very quiet, additive GB and better sound system than my accord (even though with factory subwoofer). I almost wanted to trade in my Accord to get a Passat during one of VW promo, didn't get it because the model i wanted wasn't available.but did not want to take the risk with its reliability Anyway looking for a 2-door car now... 3 sedans are enough. |

QUOTE(shaniandras2787 @ Mar 28 2019, 11:11 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « to be honest, i find the adaptation of the Civic design language on the Accord very distastefully done. As a matter of fact, I find the Insight to be a more appropriate design replacement for the Accord. It just translates to be a bit more, mature. Very Accord-like. QUOTE(mupanto @ Mar 28 2019, 11:24 AM) In term of design... It depends on the target age group in my opinion... and Honda main market is the US.9th gen accord is the best same goes to civic which 8th gen still the best civic But in the end...time after time Honda still hold the best cockpit compared to others Japanese look at new Vios (Zzzz) My friends and colleagues in their late 30s and those in their 40s like design from Nissan Those in their 20s and early 30s prefer more modern looking design like those from Hondas Anyway, finally it depends on individual preference... and for sure manufacturers target the majority. |

QUOTE(takemethere @ Aug 21 2019, 02:29 PM) hello folks, need some opinions, my car is 4.5 years old now, 79k on the odo. by next service my car will be out of warranty, plus SA has advised that it will be considered the 100k service involving spark plug change and alternator belt. seems a little premature to change those given my lower than usual mileage, and correct me if i'm wrong, i don't think honda will give me a choice to skip the change of those 2 items. so the question is really if i should continue going to Honda SC, since the warranty will be over. if i do decide to service outside, do you guys have any recommended shops to service our accords reliably in the subang area? thanks. Spark plug should be still good... probably 200,000 k also can. Alternator belt you do need to change.QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Aug 21 2019, 08:34 PM) I just same situation like yours. And i opted for outside service. Parts were bought at hingan auto parts and change it at workshop. driveshafts should be Made in Melaka, Malaysia... Honda regional CV joint factory is in Melaka.100k mine was done at sc since during that time it is still under warranty. A bit expensive for price but for warranty purpose have to done it. So far I have claim twice driveshaft under warranty due to leaking. I have a feeling parts by honda quality is worse long time ago, possibly due to made in Thailand parts. I am not sure if it correct Honda accord i think have well known driveshaft weaknesss.... mine also leaking. But my Honda Civic, already 14 years old, no problem. Also from Melaka Honda factory. |

QUOTE(tkyong1 @ Sep 11 2019, 03:07 PM) yes, yellowish...polish how much ? can last how long normally ? Buy polish yourself and DIY... that's what I do.sorry asking many question cause i never polish lamp before.,lol Aeon & Tesco also got sell headlamp polish. How long last depends you park under sun a lot or under shade. Under sun, mine last about 2 months max, if under shade up to a year before i need to re-polish. I'm looking for a UV protective clear coat, but so far don't see it sold anywhere... even Ace hardware also don't have The yellowing is due to the UV attacking the plastic QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Sep 11 2019, 03:17 PM) can DIY la uncle. Come to my house, I do it for RM 50... but those meguiars headlamp polish from ace hardware. if lazy buy also those polish machine to perform it. or else go to a reputable auto detailer, iinm cost about rm80-100 per treatment If cannot improve, no need to pay anything. |

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Sep 11 2019, 04:45 PM) from youtube saw few, those come in can. Yes, and also car out from factory, the headlamp has the coating... but if you sent car for polishing, most likely those detailing or car wash fellow will also run over the headlamp with their orbital and remove the protective coating if they don't mask it off.after polish is done, need to spray this protective coat, then can sustain from yellowish effect. iinm saw on in ace hardware publika this spray |

QUOTE(DM52 @ Sep 29 2019, 10:27 PM) That price already good. 2.4 at honda city price. Really worth it. But many I believe interested but cant afford the fuel cost. So they end up with new city. Don't forget the road tax of a 2.4L vs 1.5L. Way different. However, re those people complaining about fuel cost the same people you usually see hanging out at Starbucks and bobatea outlets ? |

QUOTE(BayuDroidz @ Jan 1 2020, 06:44 PM) Hi guys, Mine is 8th gen, i can reset by jumping pin 4 and pin 9 on the OBD2 connector and pressing the brake pedalDo you know how to reset the dashboard lights? Currently my power steering, vsa abs lights lid up. Since I don't faced any problem, I think this is due because I'm servicing my car not with Honda SC. I assume Honda SC will reset the indicators after servicing the car. The lights keeps turning on and off several times. Appreciate your advise how to reset this. Many thanks.[attachmentid=10386064] Youtube has the procedure, if you search for it. Not sure will work for you. QUOTE(RVN10 @ Jan 2 2020, 12:01 AM) Yeah... had the same problemQUOTE(BayuDroidz @ Jan 2 2020, 06:58 AM) QUOTE(CoolerMR @ Jan 2 2020, 10:07 AM) Wow... freaking expensive.QUOTE(BayuDroidz @ Jan 3 2020, 08:33 AM) I thought few people faced this problem until I found a petition on this. Too bad i don't think they will entertain for my model.https://www.change.org/p/honda-malaysia-hon...abs-modulator/c This is unacceptable. I already signed the petition and now I want to complaint directly to Honda Japan. Anyone who faced this problem, please sign the petition to get Honda Malaysia to replace our parts at no cost! |

QUOTE(BayuDroidz @ Jan 7 2020, 05:32 PM) Got my car ABS modulator fixed there and voila! My issue is solved! Does he sell a recon ABS modulator also ?Great guy to deal with and have vast experience in fixing cars. BTW, he owns an accord too so he knows our issues. Got it repaired at RM 1300 with a 6 months warranty! I'm thinking of buying a replacement and taking apart my failed unit to see what's wrong. |

QUOTE(tkyong1 @ Jan 10 2020, 01:21 PM) ~ 1.5 to 2.5 years for me.Nowadays I use a battery charger to keep it topped up once a while.. like 1x every 1-2 months. Still monitoring if it will helps extend the life of batteries Currently i have 2 cars with battery age at 1.5 yrs and 1.25 yrs respectively. Also using non-maintenance free batteries seem to last longer regardless of the brand. |
