QUOTE(Mac Wai @ Oct 13 2013, 04:23 PM) Not much discussion on cycling jersey....Which are the better quality cycling jersey brand available in our market? No idea what to look for in a cycling jersey besides it's design and colour, guess I have to trust the brand...but which are the ones that we should be eyeing? Looking for a long sleeve to block out the scorching sun and yet cool enough to wear. Thanks. i'll definitely get this one http://www.specialized.com/us/en/ftr/road-...r-jet-jersey-ls

QUOTE(wenloong78 @ Oct 13 2013, 08:42 PM) yeah, saw the swift carbon frame at pedal spot, was offer Rm3500 for Attack model, then another question comes, high end alloy (spez Allez E) or low end carbon? some says high end alloy perform better than low end carbon, hence, scratch my head, which one to buy? dont think will take the old model like SL2 or king 3, prefer more up to date model. hmm....maybe should narrow my choice to boardman and specialized (allez)? if u were me, which one will u choose? high end alloy (allez), which need to wait till dont know when or less well known boardman, which i found the price and design quite attractive. thanks swift carbon. BUT only because allez frameset comes in size 52 the smallest. i'd get the swift attack size XXS (46) This post has been edited by miaopurr: Oct 13 2013, 09:35 PM

Wanna get something to replace my 54mm top tube which is too big for my 170 height. lol Anyone of you concern about bb30 on their bike, certain shop tell me to stay away as it will creak why u wanna go with XS? shouldn't u be on size S? i'm 160 on 518 top tube horizontal, 100 stem This post has been edited by miaopurr: Oct 13 2013, 11:50 PM

BSA/ISO is still the safe bet, but not many manufacturer still make their frames with this type of bb. most have taken the pressfit approach. like it or not. given the choice, i'd take BSA/ISO

QUOTE(minizian @ Oct 14 2013, 12:07 AM) I am considering either giant TCR slr or Caad 10. I prefered giant cos it using pressfit 86 but did not have my size in xs when i visited the two dealer mentioned earlier. For caad they do offer my size (not sure if dealer offer that) but I am worried bb30 as my stuff are gxp. Not sure if any converter i can use to convert bb30 to gxp. Wanna go custom route but stainless steel and titanium are quite pricey for those good quality race-able frame to complement my carbon bike here's a solution for ur bb30/gxp http://wheelsmfg.com/products/bottom-brack...m-brackets.htmltcr slr... proprietary seatpost. me no like. why do u prefer pf86 rather than bb30? pf86 does not require tolerance as stringent as bb30. and what does that tell you? QUOTE(butthead @ Oct 14 2013, 01:01 AM) is there still frames that runs bb30... most have moved onto pf already lar i think... and if pf86 is already being considered? why not pf30 and make sure of stiffer and lighter cranks? but, it's pointless to say this cos it's dictated by the frame that one likes... dunno la. i'm still on threaded and will still look for a threaded option for the next frame

QUOTE(butthead @ Oct 14 2013, 01:16 AM) there is always adapters... it's not a worry if you just want to stick to your shimano 24mm spindles... as for BB creaks.... to hell with it.... even normal threaded bb creaks... can't be too bothered to be annoyed by it.. if you are lucky, you get one that stays quiet until the day you pawn it off...else, god bless... i like THE threaded bb specifically. not the 24mm spindle crankset. so far, i've never had a creaking bb (3 frames, 9 years)

QUOTE(sunnyckh @ Oct 14 2013, 02:17 PM) Avanti last time I asked 7k now selling 5k something, scott foil team issue 2012 7k something, specialized I don't give it a shit (no offence to specialize user) coz I think is overpriced piece ( for their top end carbon frame) no offence taken. among the bikes pro riders ride, sworks was/is the cheapest. not sure how it got to be overpriced. spez don't pay me to ride/market their frame, but personally i feel they have the best value for a bike in pro peloton. but to each his own. maybe giant can match their price. but giant has all kinds of proprietary stuff. my sworks sl3 i got it less than 6k, brand new. and not during crazy clearance sale. QUOTE(butthead @ Oct 14 2013, 03:42 PM) s-works is the cheapest what about giant and merida??? jangan quote separuh2 la.... dunno. giant was 6k+ at that time, and had to go to singapore to meet special fren of a fren of a fren. merida that time mana ada dlm pro peloton. QUOTE(butthead @ Oct 14 2013, 03:42 PM) don't your s-works has it as well??? the fork crown head set seats? not proprietary. they just use dirty tactics by permanently gluing the crown race onto the steerer. the headset found out to be standard VP components, but they changed the cap to cane creek. stinky tactics. at least not proprietary. unlike giant's aero seatpost or OD2 stem.

QUOTE(sunnyckh @ Oct 14 2013, 03:49 PM) nope, b4 budget around 4k almost wan take allez, then brainwash a bit by cycling mate give up on doing research on spez n customize my 9.8 how's boardman warranty term? i remember last time i read an oversea forum, owner of a really old spez. his frame was damaged, after maybe 10 yrs of usage. went to a spez dealer, looked at it, took some photos and made a report. maybe due to a manufacturing defect, spez gave him a new tarmac frame, FOC. because the lifetime warranty. some brands have really solid warranty. btw ur boardman 9.8 comes with an integrated seatpost right? make sure u got the right person to size up and cut it, and make sure u gonna ride it as long as u can. or good luck selling it in the future.
