there is definitely some theorethical explanation why this happens in the motherboard, when it comes to ram slots.

define active cooling smile.gif well u can go without any much air flow at 1.8~2.0V. After that u will need at least some wisk of air to blow at the ram and this is at 2.0~2.2V and after that u go full blast active cooling with the delta screamer brows.gif

1333Mhz natives go very well with ddr2 667

hmm thats why i am scared to play tight timings but for super pi it helps so much to tighten it

Bro are there any other rams of the same chip that can do the cl3? Besides the team xtreem? And whats the voltage bro?

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Mar 9 2008, 04:33 PM)
Trust me.
That Team Xtreem DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz 2GB Kit Low Latency CL3 is the most expensive DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz 2GB Kits ever. laugh.gif

sHäwTY(tm)

yeah its like rm500 sweat.gif just for 2GB lol... better get 10th annies.. for rm290 and clock it cl3..

yeah true, lower latency and higher speeds is the key

Hmm so we do pay for what we get then from Team Ram. But wished it was cheaper.. but bro shawts, it would still be able to get cl3 rite, the annies?

Added on March 10, 2008, 4:43 pmi wanted to buy the team xtreem cl3 ram last month, but a friend of mine told me to get 4GB kits instead. And wait for something like balliztix to come.. bro has your reviewer come up with the results of your 4GB kits?

it would be impossible for 2GB chips coz they dont have the variant of microns that can respond to cl3. i believe. So maybe it wont be able to hit cl3 but i guess if it goes on higher speeds and maybe at cl4 or cl5 should be pretty decent for shawtys rams. smile.gif Anything tighter than cl4 at ddr2 800 would be a bonus brows.gif

@sky
read my statement, never for 2GB sticks that u can do cl3 @ddr2 800. Coz theres no proven chips used for the 4GB kits. Most of it are unknown potentials i guess. So yeah, just have to wait for the results from Shawts/

@shawts
great incentive there smile.gif sure he will do quick one.. after that incentive youre giving him brows.gif

i would suggest somewhere around 1250Mhz at cl5 @ 2.4-2.5V, since crucial does make rams which are very nice with the speeds. smile.gif

coz i did read the putera thread and one guy did say that just using 1 stick did give 1200Mhz... so given the odds, if 1150 is easy, i would give a modest 1250Mhz.
