Team Extreem is guaranteed on their D9GMH chips.. and well strap of chipset can be determined by checking what the max fsb speed is for the board( NON-OC). For example, a P35 runs at 1333Mhz, so using the quad pumped FSB architecture, Intel Adopts, u divide that by 4 so u will get an effective 333Mhz on FSB. Now thats your Strap. For X48s the strap is 400Mhz
CSTKL is the man for this |

~Edited, due to the fact that bandwidth does play a pivotal role in rams not just speed

the gain shold be in bandwidth and not in speed or timings, both speed and timings wont mean a thing if your bandwidth is crap
thats your first tip |

how do u define crap though? Does crap mean in Vdimm sense, or subtimings sense? how about bandwidth performance? would love to see bandwidth differences between the Team X and the Kingmax and the tRD ratings.

well, then i believe kingmax is an energy saving ram but doesnt it have a threshold of voltage, and how does it fair with cl4?

1066Mhz cl4 can probably be only done by d9gmh and d9gkx and all 4Gb kits dont carry this variant of micron chips.. so nop it wont.

its takes a higher voltage around 2.2-2.3V to run a cl4 timing for your ram.. and if u do want to set it, set it in the bios.

tracers have heat issues... and also maybe it uses lousy d9.... by the way, its true that tracers might not be as good as it might have been.. why dont u ust try the ballistixs instead of the tracers...

i think ballistix 2GB kits are not crap since they carry d9gmh rite? maybe tracers do crap out abit.
But yeah what cstkl1 says about rams, what rams to buy, is basically the best in the market |

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Jun 26 2008, 01:59 PM) dude 4x1gb's are expensive..especially when u want d9gmh's i disagree about being silly to buy 2*1GB... i think its peoples preference and what exactly the users purpose is to use the rams for.. If you cant utilize 2GB why move to 4GB. theres nothing pantsy about it. 2x1gb is silly to buy.. cause ure just a pantsy if u do.. vista is the way so its a 4gb clocking scene... ppl want to see 4gb clocks.. whether its 4x1gb or 2x2gb.. cause thats the current need for gaming for us who actually love online gaming for FPS and strategy.. need those 4gb's with vista. ati HD3000 series and HD4000 series is made for vista.. they dont perform that well for xp.. so again i reiterate crucial rams are crap not because of the rams per say we should blame ourselves for living in a malaysia.. the rams are not suitable for our climate for overclocking and 24/7 run. the pcbs are too thin.. and was made that way to save electricity with those low voltages. |
