I got them from OCZ. I searched online for the pricing and it's currently for sale at above RM1.6K for a 2GB kit.

Will consider that but I prefer to concentrate later on the bandwidth obtained as it's pretty neck-to-neck between the 2 platforms and is a better evaluation of performance when overclocked

rclxms.gif What I know is Corsair Value Select DDR2 can overclock at least one grade above stock without Altering the timing. My one is 512MB Value Select DDR2 533Mhz@4-4-4-12-16-1T which can up to 667Mhz@4-4-4-9-9-1T with 2.05V.It is not the max.So I don't understand why people intested in low latency RAM which cause few hundred ringgits more than that.In real world application, low latency only get 1-5% advantage. rclxms.gif

elpida chip is good, but better if u can get micron.

normally elpida chip is marked with a 3 dot at the edge of the ram chip.

while micron is marked with single brown dot at one of the edge.

fatbody D9 is no longer in production.. however the newer D9xxx are good as well.. though its hard to hunt for them in value rams...

Ur bandwidth efficiency is 88-89%? That very high, mine is around 63-64% even my timing is tighter at 2T.
I guess it like S754, single channel give 90+% even on any timing at 1T.

no, especially nowadays fatbody is no more in production.

anyway... it's fatbody... not fatboy.

X2 will benefit DDR2 a lot. 10k in memory benchmark is so easy with X2 AM2.

probably DDR is a bottleneck for X2 S939.

some Elpida chip are quite good... like the 6E-E

but generally, Elpida can be considered moderately okay.

Micron square BGA are the current best. There are smaller rectangular type, but they don't do as well as the squares. 'Fatbody' is rectangular BGA, but the chip is big like DDR TSOP, but slightly wider.

Please justify your point.

Kingston is long time ignored by overclockers for your information.

I'm scouting for DDR2 667 2x1GB.

I saw Patriot CL5. Is this good RAM? It come with RAM sink.

Which brand confirm have Micron Square BGA?

One reseller told me she can get Kingston CL4. I'm doubting her. She's going to bring one to me soon. But not yet arrive. So I still doubt her tongue.gif
