anybody using SHE9500?

i wonder..whether my expectation of the level of noise isolation is too high for this earphones...
doesnt seem to block as much noises as i imagined it would do...
quite frustated..i dont want to turn my volume too high just to block outside noise...i want to listen to my songs at mid volume as i dont want to become permanently deaf.(says so by people suing apple for not warning the possibility of prolonged use of ipod could cause permanent damage to hearing).

so..do i have a very high expectation of this pair of earphones or its true?

wow, you mean that after two years, you can do nothing to your ZVM except throwing it away..sobbb..

well, i read from the site that there are indeed replacement battery sold for zen vision (i am not sure zen: vision or ZVM)..but there might be extra charges if you replace it at the shop..
*
You can always open the case up, replace the battery urself. Normal desoldering and soldering involved. However I THINK once u open the case or take out the old battery, u will break a seal that voids the warranty. But i guess by the time u need to replace the battery, the warranty period will be long gone. However, do handle the item with care, and dont do it if ur not confident. This item is not a place to start practising.

That is the only option if you want it cheap. BTW, i think i've seen ppl selling zen vision batteries on eBay.

supatza,it depends on how disappointed you are.

The SHE9500 generally does not block noise well compared to stuff like EX 71 or the Creative EP630 (which I assume is same as the Senn CX300,since the built is the same)

You must of course understand that canalphones can only block that much of noise. If you need much more, you're looking at getting urself a real pair of IEM's which are less comfortable,is more of a hassle to put in but isolate more.

But yes,in general the SHE9500 is known to isolate less than the above mentioned canals.

My previous SHE9501 has "failed" interms of noise blocking,
very loosen / longgar,

The best isolation among 3 (EX51, SHE9501, HJE50) is HJE50

A lil somethin I read from somewhere :

Some still hear ambient noises despite getting a good seal and has thus suspected the hole at the top (bass intake hole) to be the culprit of leaking noise in.

This is of course merely his suspicion,I have no proof that this is true tongue.gif

Hey guys,

I just got my CX300, and just want to share my take of the noise isolation. I think it's pretty cool, as it is able to block out noise in a busy kopitiam, except when someone dropped empty plates, which is really loud.

I kept mine on M sized buds. It's actually a bit larger for my canals, but I decided that the slightly large size, and the minor discomfort will go away after a few hours...

supazta: Maybe you should try one size larger for your she9500?
