Mata might end up leaving us in Jan. Pity a man of his caliber don't get the chance to play.

Wow. Wow.
Have to admit that I was wrong to have doubt on Lampard when I saw his name on the team sheet. He was EXCELLENT. I think this has to do with Mourinho tactics today. Ramires and Mikel giving cover in defense allowing Lampard to make his famous runs into the penalty box. Oscar was wonderful. And Eto deserves a mention too! Very solid performance by him. 3 points during Novemeber, can't complain anymore! This post has been edited by ericling: Nov 24 2013, 03:33 AM |

great win, lampard is my man of the match. he was almost everywhere on the pitch doing interceptions, passing and through passes.

Great win. Most players gave a good performance, glad there was no problem in the goals department. Oscar, Lamps, Hazard, Eto etc did pretty well.
JM stated he has his first XI in his mind in the pre-match press conference. I think we can get an idea for the team from his lineups so far. You can see what sort of players he wants. You can see how he wants the team to play. However, that leaves the likes of Juan Mata and Willian out of the main picture. Of course, they will get matches to play and they're always options for the manager, but they are too good to be just "options". These are players can be first names on the team sheet in a number of top clubs in Europe. Does Mou have a plan for them? |

i agree that lampard is awesome in this game but i really hope with the superb game he had, he will not be granted the untouchable position in the team like before. he is good, but i dont think he can play like that regularly like he used to.
reasons? west ham is extremely poor last night. lampard was playing very far ahead of mikel and if we go against other title contender, the space he left behind will be exploited. my concern is only on oscar as our new #10. he is very hardworking. no point arguing about this. but in term of dictating play, IMO, he is still behind mata. but during the match, oscar do have some good interchange play between hazard and eto'o which is very good. i have nothing against him and i really hope oscar can prove his worth. on another note, azpi look really solid at left back. nice for him to play regularly and hopefully, he can give ashley a solid competition. |
