frankly speaking there is no smoothness difference between 4.1-4.3 aosp s3

but for touchwiz 4.1-4.3, i can imagine it being even slower and laggy on s3
4.1 is great
4.2 add abit s4 bloat ware
4.3 add abit more bloat ware from note3
4.4 add abit more bloatware from s5

those newer phone can cope with the extra bloatware due to higher spec
but s3 is old generation exynos with 1gb ram only.

If our phone is not rooted, any apps from the play store that can disable applications from running?
For example, I installed some email clients, but sometimes I wana disable it (to save battery when i'm not working) but I do not wana uninstall it as I need to configure it again

logically your philosophy is corrected but so far haven't install 4.2 so i can compare and so far 4.2 for S3 is leaked version and yet to smoother by Samsung.

On whether it will lag still need to wait until 4.3 to confirm. Hope Samsung will turn to optimal before releasing. blush.gif

You have to be rooted.

Then u can use greenify to do exactly what you want

Battery life much better than stock 4.1.2
Don't know is it due to install very less apps only ...
