that's why i tell ppl many time. Volkswagen is The Rakyat's Car in Germany. It's an el-cheapo car but overpriced in malaysia. yet many ppl banggala.jpg can drive this conti car. the price u paid can get an entry level bmw 320i or the bmw 316i... the bmw service is PREMIIUM ! get audi or merz also better (if u can afford more).
so, SAY NO TO VOLKSWAGEN KERETA RAKYAT JELATA. it's like a proton sold at same price with honda accord.
Merc and BMW are taxis in Europe. I was on a project in Amsterdam and took a relatively new Merc taxi to airport.so, SAY NO TO VOLKSWAGEN KERETA RAKYAT JELATA. it's like a proton sold at same price with honda accord.
In US and Australia VW is priced premium over other cars, so it's not only Malaysia.
I own a 2010 Golf GTI Mk 6 with 100kms on it - i just love it. Faster than most BMW and Mercs in stock standard configuration. 200km/h on MEX - rock solid cruising. Ppl seldom post the good stuff, so i'm sharing my bit here. Once you drive continental car (Renault, Citroen, Fiat, VW, etc) it is just so different from a Honda. I owned 2.
Like with ALL cars, there will be a percentage of defects and i sympathise with the TS, it's no fun when you have a car with a defect and worse - an official dealer who is not competent enough to fix it or ask around their global network. You'll get other brands bitching about it and that's normal.
I believe if VM MY read this and improve on enabling their dealer network, customer satisfaction will jump.Sorry to hear your story TS - feel for you man
ps: Rocco (Scirocco) Girl will have lots of fun. Envy her.
pps: check out this Car 0-100 kmh List
