To be honest. I am driving a Mk6 golf gti. Sometimes i do feel that i paid RM215K and was getting a hatchback where as i could easily could had gotten a luxury 3 series around the brackeet or an Audi 1.8T at that time.

I am unsure if you are mentioning that VW is same class with the sub luxury cars or maybe comparing to other sub entry continental cars?

how is it sub class when the GTI is using a engine that was first developed for AUDI's and a DSG gear box which also share it's common blue print with the DPK porsche gearbox or bugattis gearbox?

But then what made me choose the GTI was it's pure power and i always knew what i wanted from the start. So i think it is really unfair to say that people choose VW because they feel atas. I am offended.

Should try Ver 10 Scooby STi. The power is unbelievable, not to mention it's handling too.  icon_idea.gif

Again. I always have a rule of thumb please disagree if you may. A proper car to me not only has to get you from Point A to Point B rule no1. rule no 2: comfort of driving (handling, safety,NVH) no3 power

so if you are talking about a STI subaru i am not too sure if it falls into the same category brackeet of safety, NVH, and comfort of the GTI. Sheer brute force heck even a wajalution could beat any cars.

Then again, i had my fair share with VW. I had my car tow twiced. Changed my mechatronic unit which i was really unhappy because i was a very careful driver.

you buy a car, it is under warranty, you get it fixed and life goes on. apa lagi mau?

VW are in the spotlight because of the amount of cars they are selling and the amount of end users. Therefore i am not defending VW again but then when the volume arises defintiely they will be more complain and more breakdown compare to other car brands. Again, just so you know VW used to be under car trade and their dealership was revoked due to numerous complains.

End of the day, i do not defend VW service in Malaysia i had my own fair share too trust me.
