I always maintain "Professional Decorum" in office man... even phone themes change when go into office. Don't want these people to know how un-serious I am outside or they will stop being scared of me. One of the girls already found out I play Dota because I use my old gaming mouse in the office so I dun wanna take more risk. NO flashy stuff.

Come vote, come vote  whistling.gif

While waiting for LZ-GH to slowly crawl all the way here. I decided to drag my red KMAC happy to the sacrificial altar to be anodized.

What color do you think would look nice and most importantly have some existing or upcoming key cap set to match?

Common color options: blue, purple, black, silver, gold, orange
*
I want see the gayest colour possible... lemme think...

Pink function keys with purple 37-keyset and... white body?

Thanks for the info, i have actually read the first page on each Cherry key switch colours earlier. Kudos to TS for the effort!   thumbup.gif
I'm just a little concerned on the Red switches used on the K70 whether they felt like the generic original Cherry's. I've went and surveyed and tried a few other keyboards but what would be the best switch (or should i say popularly used?) for say; typing (70%) and gaming (30%)?

Noted on the non-standard keycaps sizes but yeah, the design and build material used for the K70 looks superb!

The red is linear and i heard alot of feedbacks around the net saying its not so suitable for typing as one accidentally tends to hit the keys nearby easily. I guess i'm leaning a little towards the browns - a bit tactile but doesn't have the noise of Blues...
*
I'm having the opposite of your requirements, 30% typing and 70% gaming. I picked browns in the end because I like the feel of browns. Blues are slightly more tactile (and noisy) but it's not as noisy as you would think.

Reds and blacks are totally unsuitable for typing (personally, of course) because it doesn't give you the clicky response (you want the click to register on your fingers for the fastest typing speed). Reds are just too soft for actual touch typists, and blacks are a little too stiff to type too much. Remember that non-tactile switches (reds and blacks) usually expect users to bottom out (hence there is no need for a tactile "register" for the switches).

Hence, reds and blacks are usually recommended for FPS gaming (spend long time pressing on one/two buttons, "long" time meaning not released even after key is registered) because of WASD buttons and/or crouching, while browns and blues are usually for MMO/RTS/MOBA games because you'd pretty much want to click on each button once and once only for precision sake. So the requirement for gaming actually depends on your gaming preference.

I would also advise you to not be so concerned about the noise levels as you can get dampers (little rubber rings) for your keycaps that'll lessen the noise somewhat.

So, I'd recommend blues or browns for you (my mobile TKL is brown tongue.gif), depending on how tough you want to smack the keyboard.

No worries man smile.gif some even purposely look for vintage black switches due to its ultimate linear feel.

Haha, to each his own, because I usually assume forums to have the built-in YMMMV+IMO assumptions when somebody say something.

In the end, get the feels you like.

Keyboards like boobs, at first you think it looks nice then good. But when you start touching and feeling and holding... totally different.

While we have talked too much about new keyboards, let's take a look at the new doubleshot keycaps from Filco (RM160 and above using direct currency conversion), this seems to be some sort of SA profile keycaps?

Rounded caps would look so... unusual...
