ppl keep yamato to control algae and cherry for their light color, both are hardy but both won't survive uncycled tank.
shrimps is fragile my friends , they are 5x more easy to died then a fish.

thanks Mr Arrow

hi guys
yesterday my 5th attempt to have shrimp in my tank fail again
almost all shrimp die after 1 hour after i put inside the tank (after acclimation for 2 hour)
luckily i managed to save 7 shrimp ( 4 cherry & 3 amano)
i think i know what kill all shrimp before this
i suspect my tap water condition is harmful to the shrimp (i already put anti chlorine and the tank have cycled for 4 weeks)
because the 7 shrimp that alive, i transfer to other tank with ro water bought from shop

Suspect your house tap water contain high level of copper.
copper is fatal to shrimp not to fish.
Only good anti chlorine can bind these heavy metal.
*
what brand of anti chlorine can i used to bind the heavy metal?

hi guys
why my Red Cherry shrimp die after moulting and during moulting?
i never check my water parameter (ph 6.0)
i use full ro water without any additive

another question
how to increase ph? (current ph 6.0)
using Aqua Soil-Amazonia Normal and Powder type
pressurized co2 (0.5bps 24/7)

GH should be 4-6 or they will have problem with moulting. You can use Mosura Mineral Plus to slightly raise your GH but it will also raise your TDS.

other than Mosura Mineral Plus what other products can i use?

If you are not keeping Crystal shrimp type shrimp that require low acidic water parameter , then go for sand setup for ease and fast setup,
for 2ft tank , get one to two bag of shirui sand, and go buy and use Salty shrimp shrimp mineral GH/KH + salt to mix with RO water(you have to use FULL RO water so that the salt produce accurate parameters) , with this salt , you basically need nothing else added(save some $$)
RO water , just go 99 speedmart and buy the one carton 1.5Lx12 bottle at RM6.50 per cartons, 2ft tank only need around 3 cartons, don't be stingy on
this.
Link to purchase the salt here -> http://www.lelong.com.my/salty-shrimp-shri...5-07-Sale-P.htm

Setup using this salt suitable for all neocaridina type of shrimps like cherry , fire red , yellow , blue diamond etc.

arrow this salt product same as salty shrimp sulawesi mineral? just add to RO water and can put shrimp

Yes, all salty shrimp salt are mean to be self sufficient, add RO and ready, but basic tank cycling still needed.
