I believe Maybank2Card is consider as 2 separate Credit card. I've tried to apply twice when I only have one CC on hand but twice they rejected my application.

Go for HLB Wise or Essential or OCBC, or Aeon Watami.. all which doesn't required income more than 30k.
*
For annual income 36k and below, maximum only 2 credit cards from 2 issuing banks. Not 2 pieces literally. smile.gif

1. Annual Income: RM60K to RM80K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A must or can be waived with reasonable number of swipes.

3. Card required for: I'm thinking to replace my SCB Plat which is pretty useless. I mainly need it for cash rebates, shopping, dining, movies and overseas travels.

4. Existing credit cards if any: Maybank2Cards Plat, OCBC Ti, AEON Gold, MACH HLB and SCB Plat.

5. Looking at CC from: Any bank

6. Others: Not considering banks from UOB and HSBC as I have terminated their cards before. Don't like them. How about Citibank? Any good deal from them? I'm using its Citibank corporate credit card which supplied by the Company.

Cash back Master Plat also got PPL.
I choose this compare to clear as I not use their benefit.
*
Alright. biggrin.gif
PPL I already have it on my Aeon Gold which gives 6x a year, enough for me, for now. laugh.gif
But so far Cash Back Plat attracts me.

I go to their website also not found cash back plat master.
But its on the application form.
so, can't prove to you.
I know that since CS told me so. So, don't blame me if I'm wrong.
I want  a master since got a lot of visa already, so he suggest me to take cash back plat master.
Although the annual fee is higher, hopefully will manage to waive or else, cut.

Sorry but which part of the application form mentions that it is entitled for PPL? unsure.gif I can't seem to locate it, probably sleepy. laugh.gif
You may refer to this thread for eligible cards. smile.gif

fruitie have you decide Which Card U want to apply, yet...???  tongue.gif

Probably just Cash Back Plat. Though Clear's B1F1 stuff is equally attractive too but I hardly use them. I still have M2C for TGV B1F1 on Thursday and everyday before 6pm is RM 10. I don't take coffee. So that's fine.

Apply credit cards for cash advance is one of the silliest moves ever. You will end up paying high compounded interests. Nobody applies credit cards for that reason. Never use credit cards' cash advance facility. I throw all my pin numbers away whenever I receive new cards. Don't bother to know, destroy and throw it away.

I suggest you look for personal loan from any bank.

Do you know the interest is based on daily doesn't matter if you pay on time or not? Might as well get other loans. Anybody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. After all, cash advances are not something I would understand anyway.

Hi.

Recently I applied 2 gold card maybank at 1 utama. But ended up come out A visa petronas when I received. anyone have experience with this card? for me all cc is same to me. Using future money and pay them later. BTW. This is my 1st time apply. Any good advice will be much appreciated. Mostly use on petrol, dining, buy hardware stuff.
*
No, you are wrong. CC is not about using future money, that's why most of the youngsters these days are in great debt. Most of us the users in this section, have the sufficient money to pay but we opt to use credit card because it has cash rebates, reward points, discounts, special privileges and 20-day free interest.

M2Cards are much better than Visa Petronas. I suggest you try to re-apply again and understand why didn't they give you the M2Cards but instead Visa Petronas.

1. Annual Income: >RM36K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: If got better

3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate, EPP, Low BT, Retails local n sometimes overseas, Petrol, Dining (not priority)

4. Existing credit cards if any: OCBC Titanium (plan to cancel), HSBC Gold, HLB Gold

5. Looking at CC from: Unsure as too many selections.  UOB 1 card, MBB 2 cards, HLB Mach or any other good HLB?

6. Others: Convenient when paying CC bills
*
Start off with M2Cards first, everyone should have this combo in their wallet.

I got think of that but I have bad impression on MBB Cz I was rejected 3 times (without giving a good explaination on why) but the bank still contact me numerous times to apply 😓. N I have few friends that have this card comment that their card details easily stolen for unauthorized transactions. Is that true?
*
Why don't you try to cut off those not so useful credit cards before applying again? How about your other commitments? Like various loans and etc.?

About the fraud cases, I have heard mainly from AmEx but so far *touch wood* I have used since it was introduced in 2011 nothing happened to me, and never once any of my cards is forged. The fraud cases came from online mainly and I have used a lot via online. You just need to be careful and I only purchase from reputable merchants and as a step of precautions, you can get bank to activate SMS notification, from RM 1 onwards. This to give you first hand alert if any transaction goes through your cards.

That is why I'm planning to cut off OCBC Titanium as not much benefits. The other 2 cards one is for normal usage n another one is for installment purpose. So far my records are good n without bad debts. That's is why I wonder why being rejected so out of frustration previously I go apply OCBC Titanium instead n it approved. Thx for your info. Btw is other HLB CC good n how about Aeon CC? Seek for other alternative in case being rejected again
*
I'm only using HLB Mach for dining purpose in case places don't accept AmEx or during weekdays. For Aeon, it has 0% BT but you can only do it once every 6 months, I applied it for PPL purpose. It also has Watami card that gives 3% cash rebate every quarter but you must spend at least RM 3k per quarter.

HLB also has Wise card that gives 10% cash rebate for certain categories but with condition every swipe must be at least RM 50. It does have annual fees after a year.

For HLB Mach and Aeon cards also have AF but can be easily waived with reasonable numbers of swiping.

For more information, all these individual threads are on this section. You may visit, read and post your questions.

Hi guys, I am looking for a credit card with cash back/rebate/reduction features. Would be an added advantage if got pay wave. The rebate thing I would like to keep it as simple as possible. tongue.gif

Would usually spend on petrol, outing with gf (meal and movie) and occasionally buy stuff online (very minimal)

I applied HLB Wise but got rejected, so wanna know what other cards that has similar features like HLB Wise.

Thank you in advance! biggrin.gif
