This is Preve's LED Strip

This is the close up of the circuit board

Just connect the wire to the connecter labelled "DRL" and voilla! You get proper DRL. But the process of doing it takes even Drex 2.3 hours. I think it is not easy. I'd rather pay Drex to do it to my car. You get professional workmanship from him. Not cheap, but good workmanship rarely are.

Ohh and it definitely VOIDS your warranty.

possible to know its only void headlamp warranty or whole wire system?

Well I'm in no rush to change the HU, so far the CFE one is satisfactorily for my needs. If only they could have used Papago, that would have been very good biggrin.gif
*
If you need to change HU, get something like Pioneer or Kenwood, i find those portable GPS is more better in terms of updating map~ double din with GPS is kind of worry later the company stop update map then we just stuck there~ haha

CVT Whining sound ... I think Proton should put lower price for mayb the 1st year customer and after all problems solve than new price. Or they promise will fix every things.

Now it like every one know that if buying Proton early batch after new launch there will be problems with the car ... it look like the testing Dept. didn't do their job!.

I hate to hear that sound ... hopefully people outside hear it differently whistling.gif
*
Most of the 1st batch car no matter proton or T or H or Audi did have little defect. Is normal for 1st batch car, same to others, electric product also, 1st batch always have little defect, just matter serious or not.
Think the other way, 1st batch user enjoy the latest tech first, when this model being replaced, they are ready to change too, better than buy a maybe un-defect car but drive 1~2 years whole model being replaced.

These are the sounds that I currently have in the vehicle :-

1) Rattling sound from front left door. The rattling is gone if we press the top plastic panel.
2) Some turbine whirring sound. Not sure where is the source of the sound. Could be from inside or outside.
3) Tak tak sound from the passenger seat. The sound reappeared recently once it was gone for several weeks. It can be due to the faulty lock button of one of the passenger seats as the back seats couldn't secure properly due to the button.

I can get the faulty lock button fixed in my next service that may eventually resolve the "tak tak" sound foor good as in item 3, but for the rest of the sound I am not sure if they can successfully address them.
*
1. I have that too~ is inside door panel, try press down the storage space, it will gone. I guess is wire inside.
2. this thing is common thing for preve i think.
3. tak tak sound maybe from 3rd brake light or rear left hand side below dashboard screw~

For 2, it is not the CVT whining sound. It is something else. The "turbine whirring" sound. It is heard when the car is moving slowly to a stop, or at low speeds. Annoying. Is this the sound that you are referring to?

Nevermind about the tak tak sound. I'll get the rear seats lock button fixed anyway. The seats are loose and can be opened and closed by itself sometimes as the car is moving. Since the seats are not locked. Imagine that.

Another thing I forgot to mention is the airbags at the driver seat. This one I will definitely need to get the guys to fix it. THe airbags in the seat are making sound everytime I move my body, or the car goes over bumps. I can feel the airbags behind my back. There are air pockets in the seats where the air bag is located. Really shitty quality.
*
Ya, i have that since day one, just ignore it.

sound inside car seat can fix by putting grease, if you go normal sc, they will tell you is manufacture problem( i did complain, they ask me sit in other preve and try, same sound. So i lazy to talk with them, just go home put in grease.) If you want get this kind of thing fix effectively, suggest you direct go COSE. dont wast time at normal sc

Thanks for the response. I will always go to COSE along Kesas highway. Those small SCs, I only sent my car to one of these SCs once just to fix a loose number plate. All services and major faults such as those highlighted above, it will definitely be COSE.
*
hopefully they change whole seat for you, not just put in grease~ hehe

I got all the seats in my car changed at the Sec 13 Service Centre. I was actually in there to claim one seat but they went ahead and changed all of them - front and back.

You can try going there, if COSE is too crowded, and see what the sec 13 ppl say.
*
i try SC13 too, they told me put in lubricant and tighten, when i get back my car, same~

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Nov 28 2013, 09:43 AM)
Where is the sound coming from? If it is from the airbag inside the seat itself, where to put the lubricant? Just rub on the fabric seats? Just kidding. If the seat itself is the culprit as in my case where there are air pockets in the seat itself where the airbag is located, then there is no other way other than to change the seats. Unless they want to cut the fabric and replace the air bag or something.

If they asked you to put lubricant and tighten, I presume it is the mechanism below the seats where you adjust it front and back, up or down? Even if that why do they ask customers/owners to do that when in actual fact the technicians at the service centre should rectify it? The service advisor you got there surely is not very professional.

With the quality of the seats, I wonder if the airbag mechanism would even work properly when the conditions call for it. I'd rather have the airbags taken out from the seat rather to have the airbag making noises behind my back. Apart from the annoying sound, it is uncomfortable to have the airbag wriggle around behind my back when my body rubs against the seat.
*
they din ask me to do, they said they did. so it make me feel they are just lazy to layan~ so i dowan to talk anymore to them, wasting time.

I see. If minor rattling sound from doors or other places, doesn't matter too much if they don't make an effort to rectify it. Sooner or later more rattling sound will pop up here and there anyway due to wear and tear. Just the major ones that are annoying enough, then I suppose they should look at it more seriously.

The seats with "moving airbag", or seats with air pockets, this "defect" should definitely be resolved by Proton.
*
For dashboard those i fix myself~ i actually complain twice about the seat, SC13 and Balakong once, SC13 said they did fix it but still same, Balakong side said is manufacture problem~ cant do anything, even ask me sit in other preve on the spot and try. That preve also have sound. haha~

I cant waste too much time for SC, so i just leave it, when i free only go back bising. My car just 7 months old.

How do you fix the dashboard rattling?
*
Take out the wood texture panel, wrap all clip with tap. Those sound usually from clip. Expensive car have sponge at the clip there , our cut cost car tak ada, so have to do this if got sound. Haha.
If wanna do, please make sure very very very careful, those clip is easily broke.

the kruk-kruk sound is coming from the lower bracket of the seat backrest, not airbag.
airbag is top side (right on driver side).

from the back seat, look at the very bottom of the driver backrest.
need to unzip the cover, and pull out something like a latch for the cover (pull down and outwards).

inside you'll see the bracket (metal and plastic i think).
spray generously with WD40 on bracket parts that are touching each other.

photo is from Prevoc FB (Tee Kuang)

[attachmentid=3747798]

i did that, WD40 + grease. Solve a little bit. cannot totally make sound gone. i think thats maybe design and cut cost( maybe can wrap with some material to kill the sound?) , even go change a new seat, problem still there. just like fur problem.
so i give up~ haha

Just change once 1st and then if problem come again...Let it be..because each time change seats, we need to leave the car at sc for sometime.

Somehow, the previous seats for previous proton do not have this problem...vendor changed maybe?
*
erm..if not mistaken, previous seat doesnt come with air bag? Preve is the first?
Not really sure about this~

I think the cause of the sound is not the airbag..it is the design and material used that is low.

a little relate there, if the seat doesnt have air bag, those part doesnt need to build like that, of cos, i agree the cut cost, proton mah~ hahaha
