QUOTE(terryble @ Feb 26 2014, 01:54 PM) i totally agree that the stuff is expensive...just a few pieces of strengthened aluminum washer cost a almost 300 bucks~~ thats y i still hesitate to get the rear kit... BUT that being said....my friend who also happen to own a Preve asked me why my car feel more stable than his~~ i was wondering if that has anything to do with the stiff ring~~ anyway...it does help and during the installation i can see for sure that my front subframe is significantly misaligned~~ and i do feel a difference after the installing stiff ring~~ just again...aih....wtf why so expensive Cost may be little but value added to driving experience may be the contributor to the price. Sometimes when things are sold cheap there'll also have a problem.. where people say "cheap things where got good".... marketing ..marketing marketing.. psychology.. psychologyyyyy

QUOTE(allenultra @ Feb 26 2014, 03:47 PM) Unless you able to convince the dealer that the engine mounting is faulty, they will order the latest revision (suprima S version, or you can request for it if they allow, depend on your negotiation skill) Also meaning all future changes to engine mounting from now onwards will be same as Suprima S? Thanks in advance This post has been edited by davidlow7: Feb 26 2014, 03:49 PM

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Feb 26 2014, 11:48 PM) Still breaking in engine? Yup.. mileage is still at 270km.. Abit scare to see the FC now but the jam lately is pretty terrible... a usual 70min journey easily takes 100minutes this whole week...

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Feb 28 2014, 08:51 AM) i tried so many 2.0 car, or 1.6 NA, or 1.8 NA, all cannot beat preve in terms of power and handling. But if cabin refine, NVH, i say preve is 1 class below. That justifies the price tag.. which is even cheaper than Vios.. For me everything is good except some areas of development... like refinement, fuel consumption... The power is great.. Preve Exec does seem a bargain in my opinion but I probably would less enjoy driving it esp. with the CVT whining in the Exec..

QUOTE(Kr0ll3R @ Feb 28 2014, 07:02 PM) Interested but that price stopped me. True that. Even when doing reverse parking, I felt quite near d the distance between mine and the other car but it's still got a large gap Making this as a habit will lead to a similar situation like what fix24311 encounter. Thus, reverse cam is my top 3 MUST get items. The rear is high.. and the windscreen is too flat leaving so little room for you to see.. The C-Pillar is darn thick too.. This car should come with a default camera by compulsory by Proton, be it slightly expensive if necessary cause you won't know there could be some small thing just right behind you ... especially pets/animals or worst - kids... Just need to be more careful

QUOTE(reddragon7179 @ Mar 1 2014, 06:00 AM) Not void if u install at proton centre and only use their own reverse cam.. Does anyone know how much is it to install reverse cam in Proton itself? I wonder do they do this for Preve since this is already a customization..

QUOTE(razkal @ Mar 3 2014, 11:58 AM) Found that my battery kong today after car cannot start. Battery life from new - 1 year 9 month. Replaced with a new one cost me RM350. The battery is big enough to cost > RM300 Nowadays I turn off the auto lamp before cranking the engine.. Found that to crank it is pretty hard when all the lamp is "ON"...

QUOTE(ZeroHavoc @ Mar 3 2014, 08:59 PM) thx for your reply but when i ask the sales advisor he say that the complete safety feature are just for premium preve. so next time when i go to other proton edar, what should i ask? As long as they don't give you old stock.. (pre-ancap)... then you will get all the safety features...

QUOTE(ZeroHavoc @ Mar 3 2014, 09:07 PM) owh okay thx for the info so next time i go i should ask "is it ancap?". is it? They should know but judging from what you mentioned about your SA above... It might not be surprised if he doesn't know or perhaps could even advising you the wrong thing.... Switch SA if you are not confident...

QUOTE(rachel_xxx @ Mar 8 2014, 03:46 PM) why next 5 k only use fully? thanks. To me I think that's actually better for a new engine... Ensure any metal particles are flushed out as frequent as possible while the engine is breaking in...

QUOTE(theonlyvin @ Mar 8 2014, 03:57 PM) Hey, my car started with the jerking issue and engine "likely cut off" when on stop to go situation. Mine is Exec AT variant. Any idea what to do? Reflash ECu will do? Perhaps going for a PDT to find out is better....

QUOTE(fix24311 @ Mar 10 2014, 02:22 AM) hi bro. preve is using what size of spark plug? have you changed to the denso iridium spark plug? As per what mengsuan mentioned.... Stock is NGK Iridium ... Hopefully Bosch.. Denso will come out this size soon... depending on the demands QUOTE(mengsuan @ Mar 10 2014, 08:32 AM) For CFE, there is no aftermarket plugs yet. Stock is already an NGK iridium if not mistaken. +1

Anyone can confirm that Proton does not have COIL MAT for Preve?
I asked around in COSE and also other place and they said Preve does not have it.
Have to customize out there.... Anyone can confirm?
