QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Oct 16 2013, 02:11 AM) basically, like this? [attachmentid=3676967] What I see, there are no more "NAT" like IPv4, and have Two WAN IPv6, and One IPv6 Local... more like Device to Device -or- Computer to Computer directly... Soon in future game, no more UPNP or opening port? since every device have WAN IP...I try help my friend enable his IPv6, since my router can't have IPv6.... so this what I do. [attachmentid=3676976] Enable... and Delegation [attachmentid=3676973] This look like forward WAN IP to internal LAN prefix... 64bit? My initial test of enabling IPV6 with D-Link DSL-2750U ended up in failure even though I enabled IPV6, Request Address and Prefix. It turns out I must CHECK the Enable RADVD for IPV6 to work its magic. Thanks for the screenshot. EDIT: Btw, how to visit IPV6 enabled https lowyat forum? My browser passes the test-ipv6.com with full score and I just posted this post, how come I didnt get the unique 'IPV6' logo at the top right? Weird, the guideline of enabling IPV6 from the first post mentioned D-Link DIR 615 (I assumed the guideline has typo DOR615? Screenshot mentioned otherwise).
But there is no "Enable Ipv6" checkbox for my friend particular model. He is using DIR-615 H/W Version G2 with firmware 7.09 and I can't find any IPV6 option.

QUOTE(hinamoriamu @ Oct 22 2013, 10:10 AM) Just one curious question If TM never assign a public IPv4 address, will IPv6 will help them to resolve the issue for CCTV or IPCam port forwarding? Technically, IPv6 could solve the issue, assuming if the router at TM side is capable of IPv6 support. This way, you will have the private IPv4 and public IPv6 address. Problem, how do you know if your other end of connection support IPv6 as well? Example, location A supports both IPv4 (Private or Public) and IPv6 (Public) while location B (the one you want to access) can only support IPv4 (Private, NAT-ed). You gonna have issue setting up teredo tunneling etc just to get pseudo IPv6 working.

QUOTE(UserU @ Nov 10 2013, 04:57 PM) I checked the DIR-615 dashboard, and it has the IPv6 panel there: [√] Enable IPv6 WAN Connection My IPv6 connection is PPPoE, shared with IPv4 Since I don't own DIR-615, I can't be sure on my advice. Can you check if you have 'Enable RADVD' ticked? Somewhere at 'IPV6 Local Network'.

So......being cut off from ipv6 support from long time.....
Anyone figure out why youtube IPV6 connection max speed is 50kb/s? (If I disable IPV6, I can get 400kb/s)

Currently using DLink 2750U.

I tested with my D-LINK 2750u with shell access through putty ;
echo 1420 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/br0/mtu
and verify it throught 'cat', but ipv6 youtube still stucks at 50kb/s.
I try other value 1280 , 1400 , 1432 , 1480, 1492 and 1500. Doesn't make any different for ipv6 youtube.
Disabling ipv6 = results in 400kb/s
Any suggestion?

QUOTE(speck123 @ Apr 4 2015, 05:43 PM) No problems for me. Getting 2000KB/s downloading the stream from youtube. Currently running mtu 1492 on MikroTik. Tried to remove the mtu setting and can also watch YouTube, but could not access Wikipedia, though. Doesn't work for me though, removing the MTU for ipv6 = ipv6 gone. It just fallback to ipv4. The only website that I have problem is youtube alone. 50kb/s!? Really? How am I suppose to stream any of the video?

QUOTE(un.deux.trois @ Apr 4 2015, 06:12 PM) Hi. My unifi is having a problem for the first time in 1 year. It appears that on my modem, only the TM logo is blinking. Previously when it's normal, LEDs for Internet and DSL should turn on/blinking and the TM logo should just light up (no blinking). Does this mean the modem is kaput already? Or just local unifi network at my area is having a problem? My modem is ZTE H268 btw. Thanks in advance. Please create your own thread. This thread is about IPV6 implementation and issue. Tested ip6tables -A FORWARD -p tcp -t mangle --tcp-flags SYN,RST SYN -j TCPMSS --set-mss 1392. Doesn't work, still 50kb/s This post has been edited by JohnLai: Apr 4 2015, 09:41 PM

=.= Didn't modify anything this time, apparently TM seems to implement traffic shaping on youtube ipv6 CDN.
Exactly at 1AM just now, I can confirm IPV6 youtube can stream at 400kb/s. Will report back here on when the throttling will start tomorrow.
Update 1 : Now is 9.43AM, IPV6 Youtube full speed ahead at 400kb/s..... Update 2 : 10.30AM, turbo at 400kb/s Update 3 : DARN, 11.00AM, IPV6 Youtube back to louse 50kb/s!!!!
Note : at 10.59AM, still turbo, exactly 11AM slow down back to pointless 50kb/s!!!
Conclusion, TM is throttling IPV6 Youtube connection from 1AM to 11 AM.
As for those who claim my MTU is too high or low, it isn't.
My adsl router ip6tables log: Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT 16 packets, 1382 bytes) pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination 0 0 TCPMSS tcp any any anywhere anywhere tcp flags:SYN,RST/SYN TCPMSS clamp to PMTU
MTU is never an issue in first place. This is pure automated throttling. IPV4 Youtube isn't affected. Back to using pure IPV4, screw this useless throttling.

QUOTE(michaelkkl @ Jun 3 2015, 08:59 PM) May I know which time range that you experience slow youtube over IPV6 so that I can test the speed Before this, TM limit Youtube IPV6 connection from 11am to 1am (UTC+8) to 50KB/s on Streamyx (30KB/s for 512Kb Streamyx) Not sure about UniFi because of no coverage Generally, my throttling case is 12am to 10am, but the first variable, this depends on what IP assigned by TM to my adsl router. Example: 124.82x.x =11am to 1am 60.52.x.x = 2am to 8am 118.x.x.x =12am to 12pm Second variable, it will depend on which CDN serves my youtube content, this was randomly assigned by youtube. Different CDN also has different throttling hours.

QUOTE(oec88 @ Nov 6 2016, 11:26 PM) Could anyone please shed some light on my question. Will IPv6 help reduce latency for gaming especially gaming server hosted in other countries? Much appreciated. In general = No. Because latency is determined by routing (distance). Most of those gaming servers doesn't support IPv6 in first place. Example, Steam. Next, current IPv6 implementation has different routing than IPv4. Technically, IPv6 packet is 'shorter' and more efficient than IPv4, but it doesn't affect latency (only affect bandwidth by slight margin)

For unknown reason, at certain area, ipv6 doesn't seem to work even though the modem/router is able to get public ipv6 address prefix to all devices.
