QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Mar 5 2014, 12:00 AM) I think Streamyx native IPv6 have problem... I can't do anything after I upgrade.. Start troubleshooting by pinging your router. It's the fe80::xxxx IP listed in "IPv6 Default Gateway" ... make sure you include the %38 at the end.[attachmentid=3878225] Did that work? If it did, run a tracert -6 google.com and paste the results here. |

From what I see, I think it's a problem on TM's side. Try calling their hotline. Their customer support needs some practice resolving IPv6 problems after all

QUOTE(#aten @ May 22 2014, 05:21 PM) i have stock router from TM D-Link DIR 615 & ipv6 work fine on it ???????the only things that trouble me is ipv6 port forwarding... anyone get port forwarding worked on this router? You don't need port forwarding. Every computer on your IPv6-enabled LAN will get a publically-routable IP address. |

QUOTE(Sharingan @ Sep 2 2014, 05:21 PM) Still waiting for pfSense to support Streamyx IPv6. Both config (SLAAC & DHCP6) is not working as of pfSense 2.1.5 No they don't. The IPs that TM serves out belong to TM (2001:e68::::/32)EDIT: Using HE Tunnelbroker atm . Seems that TM also uses Hurricane Electric IPv6 allocation and hands out the address to Streamyx/Unifi users. |

kupang I think you're very confused. IPv6 is nothing like IPv4 when it comes to LAN addressing so it's time to relearn this
1) You do not need to specify "private LAN IPs", because it's auto-generated by the operating system. 2) All your PCs on the LAN will get a public IP. 3) You do not necessarily need DHCPv6 to assign addresses, provided that the router announces its public IPv6 prefix using SLAAC. |

QUOTE(kupang @ Sep 4 2014, 06:53 PM) OK based on your advise.. I've tweaked the router settings I haven't used that router before so I can't advise what settings you should put. I have a feeling that it's easier to reset it to factory defaults and see if it works out of the box.LAN global address is randomly generated [attachmentid=4121063] [attachmentid=4121050] [attachmentid=4121051] but now the ping 6 is giving the general failure message [attachmentid=4121059] |

If you have SLAAC on the LAN side, you don't need DHCPv6.

It could be a problem at TM.
For my office connection, we could get our static prefix assigned using DHCPv6-PD with our Mikrotik for a few weeks... and it stopped after that. Like you, I can get a SLAAC prefix only. I haven't gotten around to calling in to raise a fault. So, just saying that it's not necessarily a client software problem. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Nov 23 2014, 01:59 PM) Just tested my IPV6 (UniFi 10) through ipv6-test.com & I got a score if 19/20. Unless you're running a mailserver, it's not really important and you can live with it. TM doesn't have reverse DNS setup for its IPv4 addresses so I doubt that they would bother for IPv6.Was wondering about the statement in the bolded red square in the picture below. ![]() What is it & how do I get to get a perfect score of 20/20. Is it important or I can just live with it? I've tried reading in google / Wiki, but I don't really understand what it means. Looks like it is delegating the address, but "IPv6 default gateway" is blank - that's what you should troubleshoot I think.

QUOTE(OKLY @ Jan 6 2015, 11:06 PM) Just curious why connecting to the forum via IPv6 results in higher latency (difference about 10-15ms, not that it matters nor is it noticeable but is this why my Apple devices prefer to connect to the forum via IPv4 instead)? TM and our hosting provider Ipserverone aren't peering IPv6 at MyIX. |

QUOTE(asellus @ Feb 5 2015, 07:29 PM) 1492 will definitely cause connectivity problems. 1280 is OK especially if you have Android smartphones connecting to the network. I used an MTU of 1492 just fine... with all sorts of devices.I suspect that the problem that some of you face is broken residential gateways that don't clamp MSS to MTU correctly. I think it's best to avoid MSS clamping, it's a hack anyway. If your RG lets you set the MTU in Route Advertisment messages, try that first. Then your devices on the LAN will natively use an MTU of 1492 and work end-to-end without any clamping. |

These days, I prefer using Mikrotik over a pfSense box. It's really capable and comes cheap.

QUOTE(nikrizal @ Feb 16 2016, 01:29 PM) Hi guys, I'm still using the stock D-Link by TM, and I bridge my existing TP-Link TD-W8970 for additional gigabite ports. Sounds like you are not bridging. Did you connect the TP-Link's WAN or LAN port to the D-Link?IPv6 works fine for the D-Link, passing the test. But the TP-Link fails in IPv6 test, whatever setting I alter. If anyone knows how to do it, would u share? Thanks |
