QUOTE(copperwire93 @ Nov 1 2013, 12:22 PM) Post-processing. It's a digital kind of ND filter, while some people get their filter and put them in front of the glass for instant effect, I have to do it in the computer. You can get a blue hue gradual filter to make the bluish sky. Put another gradual nd filter to get starry sun. I will get Cokin set for this to get better effect. HDR helps too. Try it. EDIT: Fail compo is fail composition. The tree is captured in half while I can go back a little and capture the tree nicely. Check my EXIF, I did it in Lightroom. It may be too hard for beginner, but it's really easier than Photoshop. You can try Photoscape too. Much user friendly. Owh now I see... What is that editing called? Filter? I didn't know post-editing can do such wonders.

QUOTE(jchue73 @ Nov 1 2013, 01:27 PM) Pretty good condition. Packed very nicely. Was fortunate I got good sellers. I bought them about 8 years ago. I'm still using these lenses. QUOTE(ongdennis @ Nov 1 2013, 01:32 PM) i bought lens from ebay before. The lens ship from korea n thailand. both arrived nicely. i think at the end it depend to the seller packing skill. always look for those good reputation seller QUOTE(gerald7 @ Nov 1 2013, 03:20 PM) I have bought lens & camera off ebay. Always check for reputable sellers. check their history and comments from buyers. So far my experience is pretty good la. Only bad experience is from our local POS Wow, comments from you guys really pushed me to try buying from eBay. Coz some of the items there are relatively cheap. It is really ironic, items arrived from overseas arrived in better condition than those by local post. Malaysia Boleh!

QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Nov 1 2013, 02:05 PM) Agree, I been doing online business for 5 year, ship over 300++ parcel, at the end its stil depend on how the seller pack the item, at the first 3 month , I do get complain from customer that item break during postage, but that my fault because not packing well, but experience will make a person growing up, so any ebay or any online seller should be safe to be purchase thru shipping , but cant say any postage will screwed up something. First u must make sure the item wont move around and covered by newspaper, bubble warp or any soft good item, if the item inside the box wont move around, it will be 100% safe. You are one responsible seller, dude. Hats off to you. Nowadays honest and responsible sellers like you are far and few in between. It's a blessing to get such sellers already.

I was wondering, is there any device/accessory, after mounting onto the camera (which has no built-in motor) lens mount, can turn a manual focus lens into an AF lens?
If there is one, I am most willing to buy...

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Nov 3 2013, 12:17 PM) if you get AF body like D90.D7000.7100 onward... then you use non AF lens (of course it need to be support one la) like 50mm f/1.8D can use body's AF module to AF. Thank you so much for the reply. I am using a Nikon D5100, with the AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6G. The D5100 has no built-in AF motor, so the lens won't AF on it. Is there anything which can turn this 70-300mm lens to do AF on my D5100? I am very bad at manual focus.

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Nov 3 2013, 12:28 PM) eh that lens dont have auto focus motor?? then you need get D7100 or change lens It has AF capability, but it wont AF on my D5100. I think because it is an AF lens, and not an AF-S. So, besides getting a new body with built-in motor, and also buying a new lens, is there anything that can be done to make it AF on D5100? I am a very poor boy.

My second photo spam contribution on this thread. I purposely boost the colour saturation to let the colours show out. Comments are all welcome. Lollipop by markas.law, on Flickr This post has been edited by exquisite_markas: Nov 4 2013, 01:18 PM

QUOTE(copperwire93 @ Nov 4 2013, 02:40 PM) Nice one, colourful. If in post-processing, I might make the lollipops (really?) in colour but other than those in black and white. I love post-process! Oh, good idea! This can further bring out the colours of the lollis.

QUOTE(copperwire93 @ Nov 4 2013, 08:47 PM) These two are taken just this evening. Quick three brackets for HDR because the storm was coming. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « If you let me choose, I would prefer taking photos at the countryside and at kampungs. I just like the "classic" feel it gives to the photos. Like your photos above. Great shot man! -edit- The first photo, I just feel that it is a tiny bit underexposed. And the smudged spot on the center left of the first photo, is that dust? This post has been edited by exquisite_markas: Nov 5 2013, 10:50 AM

QUOTE(copperwire93 @ Nov 5 2013, 11:12 AM) Thought so, these days Nikon seems to be all about business. Pressure from competition especially from Canon and other mirrorless monsters I guess Where is it exactly ya? If it's black spot then it is the dust. HDR seems to emphasize the dust on your sensor and I'm too lazy to pixel peep. I think the first one underexposed too afterward. I increased the exposure a bit but it still looks weird. It's not really a black spot. It's some translucent spot just on the left of the electric tower.

QUOTE(copperwire93 @ Nov 5 2013, 11:19 AM) Same thing happens to me. Always have a lot of facepalm when at home viewing the pictures in the computer. Most of my facepalm moments happen on the focus. Most often, I don't really get the right focus on the place I wanted. Sometimes, the whole photo goes out of focus, but I am dead sure it was focused the moment I snapped. That's why I don't seem to get the confident to use the AF 70-300mm lens on my D5100.

QUOTE(copperwire93 @ Nov 5 2013, 11:35 AM) Does cleaning sensor in the menu really works? Is there any other way to clean sensor without the blower? I think it works to some extent. From what I know, it has an electronically controlled vibration system which shakes off the dust. But bigger and heavier dusts have to be removed by physical means, e.g. by the use of a blower.
