QUOTE(wkho555 @ Oct 2 2013, 08:26 PM) just now I went to Tmn Connought night market and saw the Samsung s-view cover. one of the stall ppl told me that 1st batch of cover they bring in the magnet is front. whereby the local set need the magnet to be at back. that's why the s-view wont work........ But the S-view cover is NOT just some magnets. It seems there's some powered circuitry plus the magnets to enable S-view functions. That's why there are 2 contacts on the back panel of the cover.wat a good answer. wat for the magnet at the back...... Hopefully the clone manufacturers don't wise up and put fake contact pins at the back panel as well. *Connaught* ?? This post has been edited by joytest: Oct 2 2013, 08:30 PM |

QUOTE(destEX @ Oct 2 2013, 08:35 PM) sry missed you post lol DPI article added. Beefing up Wakelocks section, pasting in from Note 2 thread, and some stuff you guys posted today.okay your kernel wakelock (2nd pic) first bam_dmux_wakelock here's the xda discussion link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811365 another user desmondk also have this wakelock the other is ssp_sensor_wakelock google doesn't reveal much but i guess it is related to the proximity or light sensor, are you using an app that uses the proximity sensor? next is partial wakelock(1st pic) i need u to open(click on) google services and phone to know what's causing it, list them down or a screenshot whichever more convenient for you. most probably is related to nlp_wakelock but best you show me what is listed. 1013 is audioout_2 its related to playing music while your screen is off, or a music app is running even when music is not playing while the screen is off. Normal sounds like softkey touches and those lockscreen sounds will also trigger this wakelock. Since it's 10 hours, 37 mins of audio wakelock is actually quite acceptable. haha sry la, that's why i use "erm", it shows i'm not sure because the way you talk in this forum shows that you're at least knowledgeable about android. no problem sis, if none then just go for fallenout wait if it's gonna be on the first page, here's a detailed article that explains what is DPI: http://www.pocketables.com/2013/03/get-per...ing-xposed.html DPI (dot per inch) (left higher dpi, right lower dpi): ![]() QUOTE(vince74 @ Oct 2 2013, 09:03 PM) Anyone facing this issue? When i tap to enlarge the page, certain posting This is :didn't enlarge. Any idea how to fix this? In browser, Settings>Screen and Text>untick Text Booster. Use the Text scaling function. I upped mine to 180%, no more zooming needed. YMMV, but depends on your eyesight. |

QUOTE(lancesaurus @ Oct 3 2013, 12:17 AM) Not sure why all these drama about the bengkok defect. It seems that everyone here wants to be proven right. blacktubiYes, I read through every post since V1 and I hardly post comments cuz its moving too fast. Good for the thread. However I do think we do not have to go to the extent to comment on each other's "rant" about defect units, creating more problems to both parties and add to the sadness of the less fortunate. I believe there'll be people who'll have comments about what I say too LOL!! Anyways my unit also have the bengkok defect but really, its really minor and doesn't affect the functionality of the phone. Its so minor that it goes unnoticed unless the user is like a build version of a "pixelpeeper". Don't think there's a need to insist on a 1-to-1 change for that. I remember some of us here said this in older threads before. As long as you're happy with your phone enough la. You're the one spending money on it, why wanna focus on meticulous problems and make yourself unhappy? (I added the last sentence) Anyways let's just be one big happy Note 3 family k? Btw I've filled in the form as well haha EDIT: Oh damn I keyed in 25 Oct I've added the form to post 5 just below the Issues table. I will update the changelog later. Blacktubi needs to make the change as he is form owner. He can add me as editor to make changes as well. |

QUOTE(shahiryusoff @ Oct 3 2013, 12:00 AM) That is not the issue bro. Those lines are the wallpaper lines. The vertical lines can be seen clearly the most while watching video. I don't have problems with mine either. There are currently 196 listed owners here, and currently, perhaps less than 10 are reporting this problem. That's around 5%.... You are lucky then uncle. No offence uncle. Just observe here how many of them facing such issue. |

For those (reviewers etc) claiming the S-pen should be able to activate the home button without clicking, I think that's just BS.
The home button is a physical contact button, not a capacitive touch button, so of course you need to press on it physically for the contacts to engage. I tested the capacitive buttons using the stylus on my Note 2. 1. Note 2 stylus works on Note 3 capacitive buttons 2. Note 3 stylus DOES NOT work on Note 2 capacitive buttons. Therefore Samsung changed the capacitive sensor on the Note 3 to make it detect the S-pen as well. |

QUOTE(dog999 @ Oct 3 2013, 05:23 PM) I see note 2 have S-pen shortcut to home button ( press S-pen button and drag from top to botton) .This Note3 dont have any shortcuts to home using S pen..... Is there a difficulty moving your thumb from the side of the bezel to press the home screen? In Note 1 and Note 2, you could say it's an inconvenience bringing your fingers to touch the capacitive buttons, but now all you need is to swivel your thumb to press home. |
