IF it comes with Wireless charging, then 189 is a good price. The receiving coil is already around RM50 from China manufacturers.

So did you get the one with 2 pins or 5 pins?

3 pins for wireless charging ..... 1 must be for voltage detection and adjustment....

It will be interesting to see how that works out. If it can provide GCC readings of 600mA or more, then it's worth getting.

I have bought wireless charging coils for my Note 2 and wife's S3. It's a bit thick, about 1.5mm, but the normal back cover can still be snapped shut albeit with a very slight bulge.

With regards to covers with built in coils, I don't think Samsung produced a lot for the Note 2 or S3. There were some reviews about the charging backcovers that was it.

Most other devices that support wireless charging have non-removable covers (Nokia, LG)

Thanks for sharing. I just read it and he's toking kok....lazy to even get a header for the front of his pc...I mean he's a tech writer he should have a frontal usb3 header laid in his pc.

Well it has also been proven that usb3 transfers to pc from the note3 are at least 2x the speed from a test i posted today.

So maybe the author never even bothered trying.

When Blackberry had begun its downward spiral, crystal ball gazers everywhere started seeing the possibility of one day having an enterprise without any Blackberries. Since then many companies have offered up solutions, but so far Samsung’s Knox has been the most successful. Knox has even garnered the approval of the US Government, and is now allowing Samsung Galaxy phones to be used in government offices; a privilege long-held by Blackberry. Knox essentially works by isolating a “work environment,” a set of apps, a separate home screen launcher and more, from the rest of the phone. It utilizes the Secure Linux Kernel found within Android to do this, and ensures that no one outside of authorized users gains access to the phone without repercussions. This type of solution has lead to a new concept of bring your own device, or BYOD, and allows employees to use their personal phones at work all while keeping their personal information separate and secure work-related tasks and information. Seeing the obvious benefit that this provides to both users and manufacturers of smartphones, LG has announced their own similar solution, LG Gate.

I should mention that the Note 3 (like many other Android devices - SGS4, HTC One) detects certain benchmarks and ensures CPU frequencies are running at max while running them, rather than relying on the benchmark workload to organically drive DVFS to those frequencies.

Max supported CPU frequency is never exceeded in this process, the platform simply primes itself for running those tests as soon as they're detected. The impact is likely small since most of these tests should drive CPU frequencies to their max state regardless (at least on the CPU side), but I'm going to make it a point to call out this behavior whenever I see it from now on.

Check your box and phone sticker beneath the.battery. if it says.n9005 then it's the snapdragon s800.

Install cpu-z or cpu id to verify. Even antutu can tell you.

Probably you have a wakelock and not a faulty battery.
