Wanna share my experience and some info with the original SView cover for the Note III.

I tested my white Note III with a black SView cover and the auto lock/unlock works including the SView feature but ONLY limited to when you are receiving calls. Everything else does NOT work unfortunately - like when u close the cover, the display on the SView window is blank.

Now after changing to a white SView cover instead, every SView function works perfectly.

So if u have a black or white Note III, u should get the same coloured SView the same as your Note III. As the other SView cover colours are not out yet besides black and white, I'm hoping that Samsung fixes this issue in a newer firmware.

Yes, most likely so if someone else here did not have the issue apparently. Or there was a batch of defective ones. Funny that they tested the black SView on another black Note III and it works at the shop, but not on my white Note III. The irony!

Cause the SView does work when receiving calls, but only turns blank when doing other things.

Haven't seen one S-View myself but from pictures on online, I don't think I will be interested.

If I'm using Nova Launcher, will the functions work?

I used to dislike flip covers because in those days, flip covers means that I have to unflip to answer calls and the worse part is I have to hold the phone to the ear with the flip cover open. Very unsightly.

That's why when the original Samsung flip covers came out with the cut-out holes for the speakers, I fell in love with them and it changed my perception of flip covers. The ones from Samsung are slim and add very little bulk since the rear cover is replaced. Only after that, 3rd party casing makers followed Samsung's design style which means you can have the flip cover in closed position while still able to put the phone to your ear and talk.

The other thing I like about flip cases is it gives the screen protection without having to use screen protector. I dislike SPs because they make the screen insensitive unless they are those expensive type.
