so i'm having 2 covers now, s-view for formal not hardcore looks good events/places while a mercury cover i got from a shop for hardcore places like jogging, hill climbing and marathons

is you hand covering the proximity sensor?

yes the top there, its between speaker and front camera. The sensor is very sensitive even if you're not covering, if your hand is nearby it will detect also.
