I think T100 is out of the question. Its bigger and quite heavy when add in the dock. It has a 500GB hdd in the dock, so go figure for the weight.

As for Venue8 Pro vs W4, Venue8 Pro has a slight advantage, and that being the digitizer matrix which allow good accurate handwriting when you buy the stylus together.

Acer W4 has stereo speaker instead of the mono speaker on Venue8 Pro.

Not sure how they really fare, but Dell Malaysia dont sell them yet. Dell service is top notch if you asked me. Buying from Amazon is quite expensive when you add the shipping.

I think the most disappointing is the home button. Too soft and sometimes not even responding.

Actually I came across a deal in Mudah for surface pro plus stylus and keyboard dock for just RM1.6K not too long ago but I pass. A bit regret after that but so glad now.

I really wish that Fleksy come to windows. Getting very addicted with it.

I actually like it portrait, easier to hold and shorter keyboard travel.

The free Bluetooth speaker really made my day. Loud enough for my son to enjoy Despicable Me. I wonder why Acer don't make Micro USB keyboard with touchpad. Adapter sucks.

I wonder if anyone also kept forgetting that its a PC and plugging in to their pc to copy files only to realized it simple wont detect another pc via usb port. Arghhhhh!!!!! LOL

I find that the Metro UI based IE is brilliant when browsing forum or Mudah. Instead of clicking next while browsing mini forum, just swipe to the left and it will load the next page. However it stop working after you clicked a link. Have to click the page number once again and then it works again till you press on any link again.

This seem nice. Too bad still requires the adapter since its wireless and not bluetooth. It seem like its impossible to make a 2-in-1 keyboard mouse via bluetooth unlike wireless through USB.

W4 vs T100

1. W4 is lighter due to 8" vs T100 10"
2. T100 dock is actually heavy due to the internal HDD which I dont need
3. Price wise W4 only RM959 with 3 years warranty (Bought in PC FAIR offer RM899 + RM60 3 years AEW)

I think T100 have higher resolution of 1366x768 but due to it being 10", the PPI is at a lowly 155. If Im not mistaken, W4 have 18x PPI and even at that level, already find it a bit hard to read without zooming. At 155, I dont think I can bare it considering I have Nexus 10 and iPad4.

Well, if you can live with the OSK (on-screen keyboard), then might as well download the OSM (on-screen mouse) that was posted by one of the forumer.

Personally I do not have problem with typing, but do find some difficulty when using OSK with Autocad 2010. Therefore I just proceed to buy Rapoo E6700 bluetooth keyboard with touchpad from Taobao just now. Will wait for the status update and product arrival then may make a short review on it.

Cable problem?

Do you noticed how much fatter the original cable was vs those bundled with smartphone or ipad? And it finished charging quite quickly too.

Only encounter it once when I unbox and it wont boot up at all. Connect the charger then can boot up.

Another encounter is when it reboot or wake up and didnt have internet connection. You noticed the screen is on through the backlight leakage, but nothingi is displayed. Put it to sleep using power button and wake it up again solved it most of the time.

I just launch Acer Live Updater. You can find it when you go to the big app list, under Acer tab.

I thought my table and wires from chargers were messy, but when I look at yours, feeling much better now.

As for the charging, dont say battery pack, even when I use other chargers from my iPad and Nexus 10, it also won't charge. The only one working seem to be the Note2 charger.
