QUOTE(Eithanius @ Mar 13 2014, 10:28 AM) mine got car washed 2nd day, now 2 weeks not washed yet... dusty like abandoned cars on apocalypse... all thanks to hazy weather and water rationing... Yeah same here bro, got the car and did not wash it yet for 2 weeks. This Monday will be 1K service and maybe ask SC if can wash the car or not for FOC instead of paying 10 bucks for washing. Interestingly my SC gave me some sort of coupon for "discounted car waxing", 1st wax costs about RM70 but I heard its not too good to wax too often as it will damage the paint job of the car.

True but I think its better to not wax too often. Maybe once or twice a year

QUOTE(butthead @ Mar 13 2014, 01:05 PM) 100KM really too slow for me bro. I prefer to cruise at 110 and if needed vroom when I feel like it. Its not fuel efficient but my driving style tends to be this way

QUOTE(Eithanius @ Mar 13 2014, 01:59 PM) For me, to be able to cruise at 110kph without stressing the engine let alone hearing loud engine noise on my Jazz is a blessing... Yup I know what you mean, sometimes on first gear if you tekan too much minyak the loud rev sound on 3K rpm has me worried, so I normally wont tekan on first or second gear

QUOTE(Eithanius @ Mar 14 2014, 02:10 AM) Maybe it's the phobia of having a noisy engine after driving the Alza for 3 years... Gosh, is there a name for this kinda phobia...? EDIT: Alzophobia...? Lol, for me its vastly different since I was driving a CVT City. Really miss the smooth gear transitions. But in terms of pickup the Jazz is definitely better, mainly due to the fact that the car is lighter i guess (correct me if I'm wrong)

Strange, when I had my City and then my friends GF bought a CBU Jazz, I swear the car felt more powerful than my City even though both 1.5.
Strange.......maybe it was just a jealous reaction to the new Jazz the friend was driving lol

QUOTE(Eithanius @ Mar 17 2014, 11:57 PM) Here's an update after finishing up my 2nd tank. First tank on Petron gives 462km, 2nd tank on Petronas gives 474km... [attachmentid=3894233][attachmentid=3894236] I noticed that once the fuel gauge hit the last 1/4 tank, it finishes quite fast - literally speaking, it's like fuel leaking somewhere... I just had somewhere slightly less than 1/4 tank at Setia Alam, going back via NKVE, by the time I reached Subang toll, already fuel indicator light, needle went down to less than 1/8 tank... That's like less than 15km distance... It's about the same bro, once 1/4 tank, it wont last very long maybe can hit an additional 150km if your foot not heavy Dont think its any issue

QUOTE(farghmee @ Mar 18 2014, 10:42 AM) those high milage/liter can be obtained at cruising speed, but not at stop-go-stop condition. this month i use a lot of petrol on highways at clear traffic, u may refer them at fuelly. oh btw, just servicing the car for 10k km. peringgit auto suggested tyre rotation (front to back - back to front) @ <rm80. 10K already need to do rotation? So fast....is it worth it to do so early meh?

QUOTE(farghmee @ Mar 18 2014, 11:03 AM) if say i wan to install auto cruise, it is plug n play? is our jazz system already support that auto-cruise function? Interestingly I noticed that there is an auto cruise light on the dash board so I guess our local specs does not have it included. If you install it looks like you might be able to connect to that Auto Cruise display on the dash for notification when its turned on

QUOTE(farghmee @ Mar 19 2014, 05:04 PM) from my reading, it's possible to install the auto-cruise button. however i'm not sure whether auto-cruise function/module is supported in our ckd jazz. it's like connecting 7.1 speakers to pc, but without the 7.1 soundcard, it will not work. http://www.hondapartscheap.com/honda/fit/3...tch-assy-cruiseWow looks like you need to do lots of chopping and changing inside and outside just to get it installed. Best to be careful, you never know since Honda electronics seems to be very touchy when people fiddle around with it

Just an update guys, 1K service done and can finally drive my usual speeds (110 to 120) but still havent pushed it to 160 - 180 yet. Maybe when I go back to my hometown will test the max speed, strictly highway and night time for safety purposes. Just a word of warning for new owners, when low petrol indicator comes up better pump cause the range indicator is not that accurate. I noticed yest when my range indicator said 90KM (low petrol light not out yet) but when I cam back from dinner after a 10 mins drive range said 70KM but as I was driving to work this morning the range indicator dropped quite quick to 3o plus km. Luckily I decided to pump petrol as there was a 15 mins jam on the way to work. Else would have ended up without petrol in the middle of no where

QUOTE(lwjiann @ Mar 20 2014, 03:32 PM) Hello guys. A proud Jazz owner here joining the club. Just took car yesterday. p/s: Btw i heard CKD jazz production stopped to bump up production of new City. p/s2: New gen Jazz could come 3Q2014. Yup tats correct bro, old Jazz and old City stopped production already. Heard from my SA that new Jazz should be out in June and it comes with CVT (oh well too bad we missed out on the CVT bandwagon)

QUOTE(farghmee @ Mar 20 2014, 05:36 PM) new jazz, may be new problem. who knows? this new jazz is new, less than a year. 1 of the reason I chose our jazz ckd because of this; it's almost at the end of cycle, most problems have been ironed out. Very true bro, just ask those people who bought the first gen City, many complained about the CVT No regrets and comparing the Jazz to City is like comparing apples and oranges I've drive both and and happy with both as well

QUOTE(farghmee @ Mar 20 2014, 05:40 PM) when it's started to light, there'll be around 10L in the tank. if u FC is around 15km/L, technically u can reach 150km with the remaining 10L. Tats true but provided you dont have a heavy foot. If left 10L and still tekan then the range indicator is not very accurate. Best advice is drive reasonably and pump petrol when light comes on as you never know when a jam will happen

QUOTE(Eithanius @ Mar 21 2014, 03:47 PM) I'd just checked... Honda Jazz 40k major service costs RM 780+, while the new City only RM 380+... The total service cost for the first 2-year ownership - Jazz RM 2k+, new City slightly over RM 1k only... Bro you sure they quoted the right price? How come City cheaper, my old city 20K service cost about 1K man or slightly under

QUOTE(Eithanius @ Mar 21 2014, 04:25 PM) Got the data from Honda website and projected them on an Excel spreadsheet... It was a template I created for myself when I was pondering which car to buy... Here you go, costs highlighted in Blue... [attachmentid=3899464] Interesting, it looks like for City 2014 major service is consider every 80K, wow thats a major difference from our Jazz, I wonder why?
