CVT has no gears... in fact... it has infinite gears hence you feel a seamless rubber band like feeling to it as it doesn't shift physically between gear to gear like normal manual, DSG or torque converter autoboxes does....

it does have it's good and bad however like all other things... and you can't just change it with normal ATF like what most of the first gen jazz and city owners did outside of honda SC and then had their CVT box wrecked because of negligence..
*
Yup, my old city was SC serviced all the way so the car did end up running smoothly without any issues so the Jazz will have its usual appointments with Honda SC as well.

Heard some nightmares from people who service outside of SC but my thought is that if you are willing to fork out quite a lot of cash for a good car then you have to fork out to maintain the car as well biggrin.gif

After a week of driving fc is as follows:

SA put in 10 bucks when I took the car and had to pump 50 the following day.

So far have traveled around 300KM and most likely have to pump full tank tomorrow. About the same as my City but keep in mind I'm only driving less than 100kmph and less than 3K RPM until 1K mileage

Feels good so far biggrin.gif

may be u should start using fuelly?  smile.gif

1stime, fill full each time until the nozzle click once, then stop. note litre of fuel pump in & car milage.
2ndtime, fill full each time until the nozzle click once, then stop. note litre of fuel pump in & car milage.
repeat so on so forth.
*
What I used to do for my City was pump until click and then pump till cant masuk anymore and then reset the trip. My City used to hit about 490 to 530 km (really fuel efficient)

Will do the same for the Jazz. Tomorrow will testing full tank and see what kind of mileage I get,

Thanks for the advice smile.gif

maciam the singaporeans... goyang goyang goyang.... pump somemore.. then goyang somemore.. then pump somemore...dun see the petrol overflow out they won't be satisfied..
*
Lol, confirm not Singkie style bro, I'm from JB so I dont really like em (but thats another story)

Usually after click then I pump a little bit more. Like yesterday after click was RM68 for full tank then pump RM2 more for even amount

My range indicator says can hit 650KM but I think its unlikely, if can hit 500KM then I'm happy enough

either one is also OK...

price wise, i won't talk about it...

generally, hybrid will save petrol in most conditions but you have to deal with the engine start stop system shutting the air cond compressor down when your engine stops as your car comes to a halt...on long jams.. you might start feeling the air cond not doing it's job as the compressor stopped for too long... and if you find ways to override the start stop functions.. you don't save as much fuel...

then there is the question of replacing the batteries sometime down the road as the battery like any other rechargeable batteries will start deteriorating and lose charge capacity after years of usage...

hybrid also gives you a 3 year free service (parts and labor) compared to petrol's first 3 service only...feature wise, not much difference except a cooler box in passenger side (not very sure with ckd model), paddle shift, digital aircond and i think nothing else...

petrol variation is the most straight forward at the expense of petrol consumption compared to the hybrid... it also gains a rear disc brake (i doubt it does much for many people, but cosmetically it looks nicer), more bootspace, a spare wheel.. and i think that is practically it....and oh yeah.. a whole 15k cheaper if no discounts is taken into considerations...
*
Also remember, hybrid does not have a spare tire. Petrol comes with spare. Guess its due to the battery taking up too much space in the car

how big is the jazz ckd tank? 40L? for 600km? looks good
still thinking either buying jazz ckd or new city.
any promo with jazz?
*
Bro, 70 bucks full tank so you have to calculate, I did not look to see when I pumped petrol yest.

Keep in mind the range indicator is just an estimate, you tekan more or heavy footed then sure wont last 600km

Current promo (If CNY promotion is still on is less RM888 and less RM1000 if you are owner of a current Honda)

Check with SA lor they might have other promo going on smile.gif

if 42L, that's almost "tank empty", not "gauge empty"  blush.gif

i found out that when the fuel indicator lit, range will show 0km.
however after filling until 1st click, the amount filled was 32L+.
& of course, beyond E line..
*
For me, when the light come on my range indicator still showing 50km

I love the idea of vertical LEDs... but a complete mugen bodykit set... sweat.gif
*
My SA got an OEM one with LED lights on the front similar to the pic but the grille is slightly different. Back also has LED break lights (to me seems a bit ah beng, oh well)

Total cost including paint and install was RM2300

that price is quite fair... of course, it is not original mugen or modulo la... but as long as you make sure it's not fiber bumpers and skirting ok already... the material should be what they call abs / pu...
*
Yup not ori and confirm its PU, just wish the grill did not have such a fancy looking front, would have preferred a more plain looking one. But overall am happy with it

1st full tank from last week so far 250KM and range indicator states still can go 269KM (not sure if accurate or not) but so far seems to be legit.

Will update when the low fuel light comes on this week. smile.gif

No city driving, minor jams here and there and light drives on the weekends (less than 30KM)

the gauge on the top half of the tank feels different from the bottom half of the tank... dunno if just me or it's really like that...
*
Its quite common for Honda cars I believe. Top half tends to go down slower. When you reach 1/2 tank most of the time it goes down really fast

Right now at 640km, About 126km into my 2nd tank...

Just today I had to speed close to 120kph coz maintaining 100kph on highway where the bulk of the traffic on the middle lane is slower and the fast lane ppl speed kao kao...

Sometimes I just feel like I wanna avoid the highways...  rclxub.gif
But I can tell you, cruising between 110 and 120kph is very relaxing as opposed to my Alza - super stressful with the loud engine noise...
*
Lol, almost the same as me bro, 620KM on my 2nd tank of gas. 1st service coming up then can drive my usual 110km to 120km speed.

Damn stress sometimes when people tiong me from behind when I'm trying to keep it under 100KM. So usually just ignore until got space to cut back into middle lane

Updates on 2nd tank of fuel, so far have traveled 450 plus KM and range indicator states 63KM still possible. smile.gif

But most likely will be 500KM or slightly under 500KM for a full tank of RM70 petrol. Keep in mind only 100kmph max and under 3K RPM

So fast...?  shocking.gif

I'm still halfway on my 2nd tank... Most likely finished by Sunday...  sweat.gif
*
Yeah bro, I normally finish 1 tank of petrol in about a week. About 40KM 1 way to office so average about 90km per day. Was worse when I was staying in Klang used to pump every 5 days cry.gif

Now back to my own house so I still think its ok. Mileage now is 730KM so 1st service coming soon then I can drive my normal speeds thumbup.gif
