I'm guessing TS is new to doing pushups regularly. Don't worry people who are new to it usually have elbows that flare out. It would help if you had a spotter to help you with your form but if not try doing really slow reps. Focus on working your reps slowly with an aim of perfecting your form, you might find doing them harder when pushing up slowly (rep count is not your priority, improving form is).

For tricep push up, you need to lean forward a little. Do the push up on your knees first and then upgrade to on toes (once you've got the knack of it).

that's an improvement bro rclxms.gif . be proud. i always tell my friends, even a small improvement is considered a gain, be proud. rclxms.gif

regarding push ups. all u need is practice. it does matter how u do it. make sure if u wanna work ur chest, u should feel the burn at ur chest. same goes for shoulder and triceps. if u feel joint pain, stop immediately.
elbows flare out putting stress on ur shoulder... to reduce that pain, place ur elbow 45* inwards.
elbows in works more on ur triceps.

the distance of hand say wide works on the outer chest. wider chest.
close grip works ur inner chest.

correct me if im wrong guys.

Who is gonna laugh? Don't worry, everybody start somewhere. Most importantly don't stop or give up.

You'll improve more as you progress on, so don't worry about how many you can or can't do. Set a target (eg. 8 push up, then 10, 15 etc) so you'll push harder and get better at it.

You can have a variety of tricep push up, just keep your options open. As for whether chest training & cardio help to reduce man boobs or not... I have no idea but weight loss do shrink boobs (noticed mine got smaller doh.gif )

If your doing pushups to build up your chest go for wide arm push ups. Try to work your way up to 10 reps, once you can do that do 2 sets of 10 reps. Build up on that till you can do 2x20 (max 30) before you move on to something more challenging.

You got it wrong dude. Doing chest workout doesn't mean it will burn fat at that spot. If you're not burning enough calories a day, then you're not going to lose fat anywhere in your body.
I think push up can help your chest to look more firm and pumped but still depends on your goal. For fat burning, dump push up, buy a rope and jump everyday for as long as you can. For chest building, you have to hit the gym.
Don't be afraid, don't be shy, I will only laugh if you quit.

Fat loss will reduce size of your boobs cause they are mainly fat tissue.
Most difficult fat to lose for men is lower abs and women is thighs. Most women give up cause their boobs lose fat faster than thighs.
But I think it is better to have boobs that look round and toned than boobs that look like hanging fat storage on the chest.

Agree, thigh/ leg is really doh.gif

Anyway not a good reason to stop working out (because boob will get smaller). A lot of my friends in the gym complain about it as well but we're back to the gym the next day laugh.gif

You just start working not for long i guess? You will see great result for the few weeks because those are easy fats to lose.
Wait till you reach a point where 1lbs takes 1month to lose, then you need to change to High Intensity Training. Good luck anyway.

For some girls they might think that they lose attractiveness so they quit working out for good and put their trust on products that help reduce size of thighs.

yeah. no such thing as spot reduction. u wanna lose fat. go for HIIT.
push ups can be used as cardio also. just u need to set the right tempo. if for muscle building, go for slower tempo with resistance. put on ur old school backpack filled with heavy ass books say 30kg. and do ur push ups. if u want those HUGE pecs, then u need to hit the bench bro. but i assure u, push ups will give u chest, just not as big as those mr olympia. but u can see the difference. smile.gif

I'd tend to think it's a genetic thing, whether you lose your boobs size or not. It's reverting to your original genetic size. So it's either you're shedding too much fats beyond what's ideal for your height , or its just normal for you. Either way you'll be able to benefit from proper back posture, so in addition to training your chest muscles you'll want to equally stretch and relax them, as well as not to neglect the upper back muscles. Rolled in shoulders, hunched back, and poor posture common to office computer users (due to tight chest muscles and weak upper back muscles) will make things look alot smaller than they should.

Genetic? I doubt so. It happens to all women when they lose weight so I'd say it's pretty common/ normal. Just that how much of the boob size drop is the matter.

Some of my friends say that doing too much GX will make the body stiff. So yeah, will be attending Body Balance for stretching and flexibility biggrin.gif it's been quite a while since i've done any yoga.

There are some light movements in HIIT that doesn't pressure the knee too much. Or you can go for options? I still think it's the most effective way to burn fat.

slowly bro. hiit does not means u need to sprint although sprinting is one of the best way to burn fat. u could do explosive push ups. or do fast push ups. staggered push ups. side to side push ups. smile.gif
