Yeah happened to me a few times too. Maybe the system reads the HP as 1.xxx instead of 1, hence they still attack it.

Shiratsuyu-class and Akatsuki-class. Shiratsuyu because their remodelled ver has a different, usually more GAR illustration (case in point: Yuudachi Kai Ni). Akatsuki coz they are so damned moe .

I haven't got Zekamashi yet so I reserve my thoughts on her for now.

The amount of stuffs coming out this year...Vocaloid and Kancolle. Wallet, RIP.

Oh, on another news, GSC finally come up with Nendoroid Sakura Kinomoto. About time.

To expand on the points above:

1. Unlock 2nd fleet by completing the (green) composition quest (have 6 ships in your main fleet). 3rd fleet is unlocked once you complete the 3 Sendai sisters quest and the 4th fleet once you have all 4 Kongou sisters. Generally speaking you would be able to unlock 2nd fleet ASAP, 3rd fleet will require some luck in construction and drops, and 4th fleet will require luck from both World 2 drops or construction.

1.5 Expedition helps build otherwise limited resource. Best expeditions to spam IMO are 3, 5, and 6. If you're gonna be away for quite a while (like sleep or school or work), then you can put on the longer expeditions. Read on the expedition page on the wiki for the reward and fleet requirement for each expedition.

2. BB and CV (short for battleships and standard carrier, it does you well to remember the jargons) are massive firepower addition to the fleet, but they are also a massive resource burner, both in sortie/repair and also construction, and especially in the early HQ level where your resource cap is very low . If you're just starting out, don't worry too much about getting a BB but instead focus on CA and CL (which you would get from drops and the Rare DD recipe) with DD to fill the remaining. You could set aside 1 BB construction per day if you have resource to spare, but you can clear World 1 with CA/CL/DD.

2.5 Each day you have daily quests have ask you to construct ships, to a total of 4 ships. It is wise to construct ships within that 4 tries, so that you can recover the resources from the quest rewards.

3. At low level and without the proper ships, you may struggle at PVP, but they are still a good EXP source, especially when you don't have to worry about repair after each fight. The best strategy for fleet of DD/CL is to use Line Abreast formation and hope to finish the enemy by night battle.

3.5 Read a bit about formation in the Combat section. But generally speaking, if you have high firepower fleet (BB and CV mostly), Line Ahead gives big boost to firepower and accuracy at expense of evasion; if you're running a fleet of DD which has low HP/armor and does most of their damage during night battles or fighting against SS, use Line Abreast for extra evasion and accuracy against sub in exchange for lower firepower. For in between, Double Line gives a balanced firepower and evasion.

4. Take good care of your daughters by not sortieing them or continue the map when they are already in orange health, because you risk sinking them and they will be lost forever. Always take extra caution and errrr on the safe side rather than #YOLO the battles.

5. On remodelling: each ships have their own remodel level, so you need to check them up from the wiki. But generally, DDs get their first remodel at lvl 20, CL, CA and CVL at level 25, CV and BB at level 30, SS at lv 50, but there are exceptions.

5.5 At one point you would have duplicates of ships from drops or construction. Use those extras as modernization fodders to your favourite girls to improve their stats: Firepower, Torpedo, AA, Armor. Always modernize with at least 2 ships as fodders to obtain 100% success rate.

Which CA? Maya is gooding, so does the Mogami siblings. Otherwise the Tone sisters are good too

It's normal to earn 2k experience for flagship+MVP when fighting high level admiral with high level fleet (level 60 above). At your level, there will usually be 1 high level admiral (the first slot) and the remaining 4 admirals at your level. Your fleet will be utterly decimated by the high level admiral if he brings his big guns, but the exp makes it worth it. Once you gain access to BB, CV, and the CLT sisters (Ooi and Kitakami), you'll start to get consistent results (S rank and A rank).

Speaking of which, these are the notable ships:

DD: Shimakaze,Yukikaze, Yuudachi, Shigure, Hibiki (last three have quite powerful Kai Ni ver)

CL: Ooi and Kitakami (OP Torpedo Cruiser, can launch Midget Sub), Kiso, Isuzu (all have Kai Ni ver)

CA: Maya have advantage of early remodel and good stats, while Tone sisters have high LOS. Mogami and co have the benefit of being converted to Aviation Cruiser which will give aerial support during start of battle.

BB: All of them are good, except maybe the Fusou sisters (such unlucky ). Nagato and Mutsu are the heavy battleships that you can get from normal construction, and the heaviest hitter, second to only Yamato and Musashi. The Kongou sisters are well-liked and quite popular as well. Haruna

CV: Akagi would probably be your first CV, as she is attainable from a quest. Kaga has the highest plane count. Zuikaku and Shoukaku are well rounded. Taihou is the only armored CV that can launch planes even at orange health.

CVL: Chitose and Chiyoda start as Seaplane Tender (AV), but they have 5 remodels and their third remodel convert them to a light carrier. At the last remodel, they are among the best CVL you can have. Their second AV remodel allows them to launch Midget Sub, but lose the ability if converted to CVL

A quick question: what would be the recommended average level for the DD fleet to comfortably defeat 3-2?

I realized after reading that statement: losing your ship wife is now the most devastating thing that can happen to an admiral. What a way to become a widower.
