yeah, better to change it.
but i did not notice any lag even though ping is 90ms in dota 2
*
90ms is still okay although lower would be better. 90ms is equivalent to 0.09 seconds, would be really difficult to notice.

QUOTE(PPZ @ Nov 20 2013, 09:10 PM)
hi guys,

i got one situation here. I am from KL and I am going back to Sabah end of next month permanently because working matters.

I want to cancel my Unifi and unfortunately, my hometown, Sandakan doesnt have any Unifi services now which is a BIG letdown for me. sad.gif

If i want to cancel my Unifi services and it is still in contract (still got 6 or 7 months i think), what should i do? Can i give the reason that i am going back to Sabah and avoid paying RM 500?

Any help from sifus? sad.gif

Thanks!!

If you have any friends who will be subscribing to UniFi, perhaps you can transfer the line to them.

Hi sifus,
I subscribed unifi vip20 at home.

I have used TPLink TL-WR1043ND, and when its wifi kaput, i then use TL-WDR4300. I feel that TPLink's wireless routers wifi not perfectly stable. I am NOT using HyppTV. Just use the router for internet usage onli.

Which brand/model of wireless routers is BEST ? My budget is RM400. I want a router suitable for unifi and BEST wifi.

HELP Plsss
*
You can consider Asus RT-N16. Rock solid stability even under heavy torrent load. smile.gif

Is it easy to setup for unifi?
*
Should be quite easy and shouldn't be more difficult than TP-Link, can refer to this guide by klseet. smile.gif

OH I c.

If I no need 5Ghz, the best is Asus RT-N16  ?

Actually 5Ghz, our computer and Samsung S3 also cannot use leh. So no point having a router that supports 5Ghz whereby nothing can use it hor?
*
Can say so, at the moment a lot of people are not really taking advantage of the 5GHz band even if their router has it, some due to devices not supporting it and some don't even know the purpose of it.

The Asus RT-N16 is a very capable router, just that it doesn't have dual-band and it does not have the latest 802.11AC which does not really matter for now especially when your usage is for the Internet, UniFi is only up to 20mbps now so even the 802.11n is more than enough.

When dual-band and 802.11AC is commonly used in the future, I'm sure the router prices will drop also when there's something newer in the market.

After 2 years, I have finally re-setup my HyppTV and found the remote somehow "melted" at the rubber part on the back side of it. How much is TM selling the remote?

Yo guys, i have question, currently im using VIP5 pay for RM179 per month. But i saw on first page if VIP10 only RM199, am i eligible to upgrade? Any hidden/extra charge i should pay?

Thanks!
*
QUOTE(nutellaa @ Nov 21 2013, 09:40 PM)
You can upgrade but if you are still in a VIP5 contract you will have to pay a kind of fee i guess , for the contract it should be 2 years then only you can terminate it
*
I'm guessing no penalty fee because it is considered an upgrade and you will be paying more each month to TM so it's good news to them.

In an attempt to revive back HyppTV, I powered the STB on and was greeted with this.

Attached Image

Rebooted a few times and does not help.

Is this a technical error on TM's side? Did a quick search and found out that some users resolve this by changing the STB. However, since mine is not under warranty anymore, RM400 for a replacement? Doesn't sound like a good deal. sweat.gif

wohooo! just updated my VIP5 to VIP10 this morning, i go TM around 9.30am, fill form, then at 10.30am my speed already increased! here's my current torrent speed, loving it!  rclxms.gif

user posted image

i think its worth it to upgrade, previously my bill was RM179 including platinum pack, now i only top up RM20 to get double speed plus more channel.  rclxms.gif

I hope TM wont implement download quota just yet. haha.  tongue.gif

If currently I'm on RM199 VIP10 without any HyppTV package, any promotion to get free HyppTV package for existing subscribers?

Actually my contract ends 31/11/2013, just now i go and ask for the upgrade, the staff said must wait till finish contract, then i said bolee la, then she go talk inside, then she gave the green light. So far this is the only promotion they have for RM199 VIP10. She said technically they are selling the hypptv package and give FREE upgrade to 10Mb. But for me its the other way around, didnt really use the hyptv. haha.  tongue.gif  U can try ask if u want to upgrade with the hyptv package.  nod.gif
*
Ok will try to ask but do you know if this is a lifetime thing or say after 1-2 years later no more free HyppTV package and they will start to charge for the HyppTV package?

Those still using the D-Link DIR-615, did you set any manual uplink speed value or leave it at 0?

Yes, as long you have their latest firmware then no issues. smile.gif

Asus RT-N16 is fully compatible with TM UniFi and Maxis Fibre Home.
