Bro, does anyone here have any experience with the Asus RT-N12HP.i will use it as the main router and I heard it has got the 9DBi antenna. Can it cover the typical double stores house? 20 by 70.
I'm also going to use 2 more router as repeaters, the routers are the default DIR-615 and RT-N10+.
I think my neighbors won't be able to hack it as I'm going to turn on Hidden SSID(aka SSID Broadcast)
I would like to have it cover the whole house including the place where the car goes.

hypp tv totally is useless for me
and 148 10mbps is a good deal, how I wish I can change lol
pay RM 149 for 5mbps with stupid hypp tv
prefer watch astro
*
of course bro lol.
Assteruk(Astro) has better channels because of MONOPOLY
HyppTV advantage is the few international channels like Warners only.

TM DIR-615 is not stable. Sometimes connected but no internet access...need to use cable doh.gif

What is the best alternative router? (and cheap too tongue.gif)

I always downloading..so need routuer can hold the huge traffic
*
Last time when I use DIR-615 need to restart every one week.
Now I use my budget router RT-N10+, no need to restart or maintenance after one week. Even I stack it on top of BTU and a lot of heat. Thumbs up to ASUS thumbup.gif
Plan to get RT-N12HP for extending my WiFi range! laugh.gif

arghh hope that there no issue with my led tv hdmi port.

*
TV problem. Is your TV HDCP compliant? Every modern TV should have that.

My cordless phone is wee bit faulty now and its warranty has expired. So... can I just get a new one (other brand) from electrical shop (like Harvey Norman)? Is there a specific requirement for the phone or it is just like any other cordless phone?

Anything would be fine. thumbup.gif

yeah i think tv problem.

sorry but what does TV HDCP compliant?
As long as LED tv got HDMI port can consider HDCP compliant right?
*
not all TV have HDCP because some TV very old . So if your TV isn't HDCP compliant then it cannot watch the content because HyppTV content is HDCP locked dy.

okay thanks all

hmm last choice is to bring back my tv to the supplier and check..
*
What year did you bought your TV? Perhaps you could leave your TV model here and I can help you check
Alternatively you can plug in any other electronics that have HDCP like Blu-Ray player to check whether it works.
You also can bring your HyppTV and laptop to your friend's house to test.
The worst that could happen is both HDMI port on your HyppTV and Laptop busted.

Thanks for the advice

the model is Toshiba LED TV 40PB200EM

just bought it early this year.

Right now i am just new in town and yeas sadly no such blu ray device to test on.
*
Sorry bro no idea.
Supposingly have HDCP support since the TV is recent models.
You could get help at Home Entertainment
Possible cause:
1) Laptop and HyppTV HDMI Port not working[PErhaps Perhaps]
2)TV doesn't have HDCP support [Hard to believe as it's a recent model]
3)Your TV's HDMI port rosak [Most possible cause}

guys, i just installed unifi. however, it come with a wifi router and modem which i find all those cable very messy. last time i was the beta user for unifi and it only come with 1 wifi modem. i am planing to get a wifi modem to simplify the setup. may i know is there any drawback for doing so? any advantages of having a wifi router and modem separately?
*
Beta user? drool.gif
I don't think got such thing anymore.
You can set up your BTU to act as Modem but no WiFi
but there are no such thing as FTTH WiFi Modem
You must have a router to broadcast your WiFi

Umm guys. Need to ask something here.
Since I downgraded from VIP 10. the rm200 penalty fees already paid. How come this month the bill suddenly charge me RM210 not including the RM179 for the HyppTV.

If you're willing to add extra bucks to your RM200 budget, get ASUS RT-N14UHP. Very stable & reliable.
But if you're not, get TP-Link TL-WR1043ND.
*
Do you know how much is RT-N14UHP? I plan to upgrade to it from my RT-N12HP. NEED ULTRA WIDE RANGE WIFI FOR MY DOUBLE STOREY HOUSE!

QUOTE(amirudin920927 @ Mar 23 2014, 09:17 PM)
I use TL-WDR4300 , very satisfied .. but actually too overkill coz its Dual Band.. I would suggest ASUS RT-N12HP  thumbup.gif
*
I'm using RT-N12HP. thumbup.gif UP to this router! Wish I could get RT-N14UHP, never knew this router existed
