Hi people , thinking about getting the note 3 from maxis...How satisfied are you with the product? is it durable? I want a solid phone that will last for years..Any complaints about a defect or lag or quality issue etc..?

It's either this phone or HTC butterfly S or Sony xperia z1 or wait for the nexus 5 lol..
*
Very satisfied. High end specs and first phone with 3GB RAM. Nice screen, good battery life.
In fact I'm very happy with my Note II but now happier. laugh.gif

Anyway, Chrome is really a battery drainer. If only stock browser can open pages in background, I wouldn't have started using Chrome. Sigh.

I do have the plan to buy but don't want to sacrifice the beautiful look of faux leather. laugh.gif
Probably I will just buy a TPU back cover. laugh.gif

I also want SGP neo hybrid, but I think it is pre-order only.
probably will launch 10-October something.

Waiting someone kind enough to bulk it.
As I posted very detailed information few pages earlier.
*
The US version is still expensive for me, maybe I will just get the Korean version.
I really like the yellow colour.

Clear-typed TPU case? it'll attract dust and visible somemore, in which it'll turn your phone to a 'dustbin.' Not cool sis, not cool.... tongue.gif
*
You don't try to tempt me la. tongue.gif
I have used clear type for my Note II. biggrin.gif
Maybe I'll just import mine from China if I decided to get the SGP casing.

If you import from China, please help organize bulk
can reduce your shipping cost too  rclxms.gif

Will consider, shall inform here. smile.gif
But Korean version ya, the seller claims it is original but I cannot verify the authenticity with my limited knowledge. So buy at your own risk.

Some one mentioned that stock browser cannot have multi windows/tab. Just tap the folder icon on top to open new tabs

[attachmentid=3651048]
*
I think you probably meant me because I was the one made noise about its stock browser. laugh.gif

Yes, I know can open new tabs.

But if I want to open any new link, it can't be opened in background page and let it load on its own.
It can only open in a new window and will auto switch to this new window. Then, I need to tap to go back to the initial tab.

For e.g. if I surf LYN, I usually search results in one page and open the links one by one in background. Can open up to 10 tabs at one time. But Note 3's stock browser just can open in new window and it will auto change my current window to the newly opened window. So, I will need to keep tapping back to the initial window. (I hope you get what I was trying to explain laugh.gif)

Agreed. Note 3's S-Pen is really awesome. Seldom used it on my Note II but it is too good to be neglected for Note 3. biggrin.gif

*Side note. Just banged my car when tried to park into house. sad.gif But luckily scratched a bit only. laugh.gif Sad sad.

Any 3rd party browser can open background ma. Why must use stock ? Any special reason ?

I seldom use 3rd party browser ma, last time used Chrome but drained my battery.
Tried again today and it still drains. laugh.gif
Will switch to Boat now. biggrin.gif

Not really keen in custom ROM anymore after endless of flashing in my Note II. laugh.gif

I just want it to be able to root for more freedom. I miss AdAway and TiBu Pro. cry.gif

I was reading the thread on mobile most of the day. The scrapbook feature helped me bookmark all the useful posts so that I can now slowly add to page 1.

Damn man...really Samsung has +99'd the S-Pen. Zotero on steroids....
*
Actually, the S-Pen (hardware) is just similar like the one in Note II but it is the Air Command that has the "wow" factor. laugh.gif

Of all features in Air Command, Scrapbooker is my favourite. biggrin.gif

Sandisk has probably fixed this issue, since there are no more recent reports of failure. I bought mine in Dec 2012 and it's still running fine.

I got a Kingston 64GB Class 10 as well, still holding up.

The concern with Samsung is that I don't know who's the local distributor. It will help if anyone can shed light on this.
*
I would say pure luck. I bought mine from Sri Computer one day after I got my Note II, that was in mid of October 2012 and it is still working perfectly well till today. smile.gif
It is now stored in my Note III. biggrin.gif

Gonna be a long wait then.
Not even one reputable rom cooker coming yet. tongue.gif
*
The first thing that needs to be fixed will be Knox issue. laugh.gif
After that, then they can start cooking new ROMs. tongue.gif
I'll be sticking to stock ROM first, priority is still rooting. biggrin.gif

Oo..rooting can be done edi.
But you'll get 0x1 flag lar.

But Thailand got Note3 with SELinux permissive status hence they not yet have Knox warranty/kernel flag. Their model N900 without the 5..odd ehh.?  rclxub.gif
*
Yeah, knew about the availability of rooting from first page but what I meant was the Knox issue.
Samsung nearly didn't honour my Note II's warranty when I faced random SDS, no thanks to rooting. tongue.gif
So, gotta play safe with Note 3. laugh.gif
