The technology is like my Jamo SW600 HT subwoofer. It's nothing new b'coz I bought my first HT subwoofer 10 years ago and honestly, this technology ain't the best because my cheaper Yamaha HT subwoofer blow my Jamo SW600 subwoofer away. The FX4021 doesn't sound decent, the bass is very weak and doesn't fill the room. It sounded very hollow. doh.gif

FX4021 (and the surround version) uses a twin woofer in an isobaric configuration.. which technically can produce lower bass at half of the cabinet space of non-isobaric woofers..

TECHNICALLY... laugh.gif

I think they messed it up somewhere..  rolleyes.gif

The cables are RM8 per meter for Cable Talk 3 ones, RM18 per meter for the QED ones, my VDH CS122 Hybrid retails at RM70 per meter (might be higher now as I bought it a few years back the British Pounds wasn't that high at that time). The cables are costly but will solve the boomy and cracking bass sound. It's b'coz that the ori cables are inferior. Of course, the choice is yours choice but I've upgraded mine and the sound is a lot better now. If you're on a tight budget, the Cable Talk, QED or even Audioquest ones are a fine pick, you can ask around.

Does those cable can use in MX5021? u have sell this kind of cable?

The cables can be used for MX5021. No lah, I don't sell speaker cables, I only do car performance stuff. I have used Cable Talk 3 speaker cables for sale though under my garage sales if you're interested, fully imported and made in England.

No lah, VS4121 doesn't come even close to CS21's sound quality, my brother was using VS4121 last time. I can confirm that for sure.

Cannot really compare your comments and your friends. Everyone has their preference. Probably your friend likes songs with heavy bass and that VS4121 produces bass that suits him. smile.gif

May i ask if MX5021 good for movie?

i'm using it only for movies downloaded from the net. Should i go for MX5021 or get a 5.1 system instead?

Btw, any of u tried to add extra satelite to MX5021?was thinking of connecting 2 satelite to both left-right cable.

Usually 5.1 speakers don't sound that nice except for Logitech's Z-5500 or Creative's Gigaworks 750. As for Altec Lansing, try avoiding their 5.1 systems, they're not that good. MX5021 is good for movies, very good bass and clarity.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Guess that AL MX5021 will be my choice afterall. will try to hook up additional AL 4121 satelite to it when i get my hand on it.

i guess if 4121 that kind of satelite add into MX5021, it will just make the MX5021 sounds worse. add in extra satelite especially low quality one is usually not recommended. original is the best smile.gif
