Thx sifu!

one thing, if i pair my ps3 with this speakers..is there any sound difference compare to laptop?
*
The diff is the source, ur lappy without external sound card the SQ may just so so only. PS3 is HD quality, so the SQ will be better.

am using the new vs2621 and pretty satisfied with it due to the economic space consuming design, which is very suitable for a student staying in a pretty small room like me biggrin.gif

Refer back to my replied in last page, the improvement of SQ may depend on ppl. Lolx... You change the cable from SC to subwoofer ?

oh dear guys i am a fan of Altec Lansing speaker too since i was 11 yrs old.. My brother owned an ADA 305 and that was when i started to aim to own models from this brand.. then my other brother bought the awesome ATP3 (that we stupidly sell it since not using it for months) which was superb in sound quality too.. it had a problem before we sell it, it cant turn on even the fuse on the plug was ok.. after a 100 dollar fix (on something inside the woofer box), its working again..

and now, we just bought a VS2421 and yeah, it sounded very awesome too.. and visually matched the colour of LG LCD monitor.. BUT.. when the volume is low (at 7 to 12 o'clock-the volume position on the remote, not the time), an annoying noise will appear.. i thought it was my power expansion so i took it to another power source without using any expansion but it doesn't eliminate the problem.. the noise sounded like a helicopter.. tuf tuf tuf like that. damn it. i bought it last sunday. i hope i can change for another unit.. and if u guys think it can be solved without the need to change it, PLZ TELL ME.. thanks in advance..

you use headphone output or RCA output from TV?
if headphone output, lower down TV Volume because line signal too strong caused sound "clipping".

But I connect it to my 23" LG LCD monitor.. It does have an audio jack with the source coming from the PS3's HDMI. I have already sent the unit to the shop today for inspection. I may get it back this Wednesday hopefully. By the way, the 'clipping' sound is always there even though i didn't connect the green audio cable to any jack..

P/S: anyway, it made me go 'wtf?!' at the shop when the 'symptom' doesn't show at all there. That's why they took it for further inspection and investigation and diagnosis... :s

it is advisable for you to test the item before and after you have bought it.. to be safe, after you have purchased it, test it at the store. It might be a bit of a hassle but if its faulty, you can instantly get another unit rather than you have to figure it out when you have arrived home. Unless, your house is near to the shop.. tongue.gif

P/S: If your ATP3 still performing greatly, then I don't think you should change to another audio system.. my 1 cent..
