QUOTE(boonhoong @ Apr 19 2009, 12:32 AM) Can share which cable you changed to? I just bought the MX5021 at a recent PC Fair for my 2.1 home theater setup with a HTPC. Have not had a chance to set it up yet, and I hear the ori cable makes the satellites too trebbly... If use ori cable, the sound produced made my ear a little bit uncomfortable. I have changed my cable too, cablang brand. RM2.xx/meter. |

QUOTE(chingwooi @ Apr 29 2009, 12:04 AM) Will it make any diff by changing the stock cable for the sub to soundcard one? I also change the satellite speaker cables only coz I dunno whether there'll be improvement of not changing that cable. I guess it will have different, may be I will buy cheap cheap cable to try it. |

QUOTE(junclj @ Apr 30 2009, 03:34 PM) Only support for Altec Lansing speakers. I'm AL user, but I'm not agree with this. Altec Lansing speakers nice in crisp and clean sound even though the subwoofer not as powerful as the others brand 12" inch subwoofer. The main purpose for choosing Altec Lansing because we don't want the sound deliver from speakers were covered by the annoying subwoofer bass sound. AL is a nice choice for users who did listen for pop, pop rock, ballad music. QUOTE(chingwooi @ May 1 2009, 02:08 PM) Altec Lansing really used to be very good, their older batch of speakers if you're still able to find them. The VS4121 and MX5021 used to be legend. I'm also used to be a die hard fan of Altec Lansing last time until I bought the cut-cost VS4121 which is really disappointing I would say. No offense it's true, the performance of newer batch of AL is really sux compared to the old one. Sure, I try do it asap. If anyone have already done this, please share your opinion Added on May 1, 2009, 2:09 pm Pls post the results of ur finding here, really like to know the diff |

QUOTE(skyther @ May 8 2009, 05:19 AM) Jimmy's is the old one, the guide on Techenclave refers to the new one. The ones I did on mine are similar to the Techenclave guide with the exception of a few tweaks I thought sounded better. I found another post, but it was in Cari forum and modded by Skydriver. And now I'm following exactly what he change in the satellite. |

QUOTE(wo0p @ May 9 2009, 01:55 AM) as you can see the picture above Your ear should be best judgement for both of this speaker, go audition before you buy. I have tested both MX5021 and FX6021 side by side before I bought MX5021, but finally I choose MX5021.the score of sound quality is MX5021 is 6.5 compare to 6021 , which is 9 I think I had waste my money to by 5021 , just only add rm50 more to get 6021. |

Buy better speaker cable, don't use the tiny stock cable. SQ will improve a little.
Added on June 21, 2009, 10:38 pm QUOTE(piumiu @ Jun 21 2009, 12:53 PM) wanna ask. any fx 5021 user here who face sound quality degradation after using the speaker or a while? SQ degraded ?
